I am fairly new to New York. You hear often the stereotypes of a dog-eat-dog world. So looking for a mechanic, and honesty, is not an easy task. However, I was in a jam and needed to find one. I came across the reviews for Hughes Motor Corp, and I was immediately impressed to make a call. Vinny answered (he's part of a duo with Kevin). He was very friendly and assuring when I told him about the problems with my Durango. I had AAA tow the car to their workshop in Yonkers. These guys are professional, efficient, and you get your car back within the time frame that is estimated. Overall, I highly recommend this workshop, they are a great team. They will take care of your problems and put you at ease. Cars are expensive toys, what you hope to get is a decent repair job at a fair price. These guys provide both, you'll be in good hands. Until Car Doctors moved into the neighborhood, I ALWAYS regarded car mechanics with a deep sense of dread and skepticism. Dee Knight is the definition of excellent customer service, and his personable crew of employees are the direct opposite of the duplicitious car mechanic stereotype. I was looking on yelp for a good mechanic in Ridgewood and came across a recommendation that I was impressed with and decided to give the shop a try. I was so impressed with the cleaniness of the place (they are usually very dirty) and the knowledge the mechanic had, that I felt comfortable leaving my Chevrolet Truck there. I needed an inspection and once I started to explain a strange noise in my truck, Ken, the owner of the shop, told me I needed brakes. I had him do the job. I was happy with the repairs he made. My truck never felt this good. His prices are fair and I am glad to say I will be coming back and recommending him to everyone I know who needs a good mechanic.
