Andy and Terry Automotive Specialists was founded in 1973. For 45 years, we have been a locally owned and operated automotive repair center and tire dealer. We are located at 176 North Central Ave. in Valley Stream, NY and serve customers from Valley Stream, NY, Long Island, NY, Nassau County, NY, and other surrounding areas. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM –12:00 PM. We pride ourselves on our reliable customer service and a staff of highly trained, experienced technicians. At Andy and Terry Automotive Specialists, we want our customers to know that they can rely on us for accurate, knowledgeable, and friendly auto repairs and tire services. Andy and Terry Automotive Specialists is staffed with ASE-certified technicians.

If you are looking for tire repair services and preventive maintenance, our tire technicians can help keep your tires performing optimally throughout the entire tread life of the tire with services like computer spin balancing, flat tire repairs, and tire rotations.
The ASE-certified mechanics working at Andy and Terry Automotive Specialists can also restore the drivability to your vehicle with auto repair services on brakes, exhaust systems, glass, transmissions, and wheel alignments. To ensure your vehicle always runs smoothly, our auto mechanics can perform preventive maintenance services that include lube and oil changes, replacement of belts and hoses and cooling system/radiator flushing. We also service diesel engine systems and hybrid vehicles. Over the years, we have provided customers with quality products and services at reasonable prices. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Shawn and his crew addressed all of this repair and reviewed in detail what all of the expenses were prior to my commitment to doing the work. Any questions I had were answered immediately and if there were any unforeseen issues, I was assured via phone calls that the right job would be done. They have made me feel secure in that both myself and my family would be safer after this repair. My car rides and steers as good as it did when I first bought it. I am a long time customer, the last 12 + years, and I will keep coming back because they completed the work within 1 day after making an scheduled appointment.

The crew at Andy & Terry Automotive are an amazing bunch. The mechanics are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. Sean, who I believe is the shop’s lead mechanic, is sharp, professional and on point. Vince, the shop owner, is simply one of the nicest, most honest individuals I've ever met. He is fair with his prices and his shop provides nothing but top notch service. Andy & Terry has kept my daily driver on the road for 10 years now. I trust them with my all my vehicles (new or used).

I called for an Oil Change. I spoke with Billy. He was able to get me in on a Saturday. Shortly after our conversation, I received an email confirming the appointment. Additionally, the email had a quote detailing the cost of the oil change. As planned, I was there at 8am on Saturday morning. Within minutes of arriving there, Shawn took my car in to get serviced. 15 minutes into the wait, I received an email saying the car was being serviced. Shawn was very helpful Around 9am, I received an email that service had been completed. There were no surprises in the services provided or the estimated cost. I loved the organization and the friendliness of both Shawn and Billy. I will definitely return to have my car serviced here in the future. Thank You Andy and Terry.

Professional and Honest!
My car broke down while I was out of town and a quick online search led me to Andy and Terry's. I wouldn't have even been able to get into their lot had they not pushed me the last few feet (engine stalled five times on their block alone). These guys got right to work troubleshooting the problem and gave me an extremely fair quote for repairs (I shopped around the next few days to compare). They allowed me to keep my car on their lot for over a week while I made my decision about repairs (ultimately, donated to Kars4Kids). They were extremely professional, non-pressuring, and honest. Great people and excellent service. These guys have the same tools the dealer has and Reasonable prices. I don’t trust anyone with my car but these guys and so will you.
