Inspection

I wanna give Pepboys in monroeville zero stars because they have no idea what they are doing. They just try to rob people I went to get my car inspected everything was fine but failed the inspection because my front tires they think was getting bad and headlights bulbs wernt in right position. Fine I got it fixed got new tires and went back and then front break pads are bad this is rediculous I left my job to get these things done and after waiting for two hours and then had to contact them my self that what's taking so long then gotta find out pads are bad like wow..... Which I don't even believe it was my cars pads. pep boys in monroeville is just trying to rob as many customers as they can to make money. I don't think I'll be ever coming back to this place and neither I will recommend anyone because of there customers service and there work.

Tire replacement

Came to Pep Boys for tire replacement. Got an estimate. I was ok with it. In the middle of the repair I was told that I need new air filter, I asked how much it was. James Cassidy told me it was FREE, and right away moved to the fact that something needs to be done to the sensors. He said it would take longer. I was ok with waiting. As I paid for my repair, I was on the phone and did not pay close attention to the bill. Once I got home and reviewed it, I was charged 18.99 for an air filter, 31.00 for a component kit, and on top of that he packed $62.00 for road hazard warranty. When I called the store and spoke to the manager, Erik Stanko, he told me that I was told that only labor for air filter is free, not the filter, and right away took side of the service advisor. When I asked him about packed road hazard tire coverage, he once again said I was told about it. I did't even mention charge for TPMS component kit. I had to go back to the store to get my refund for illegally put road hazard tire coverage. He refused to give me credit for air filter, even though I was told it was free. But he did say that he will give me my old air filter back. While speaking to the manager, Erik Stanko, he was very indifferent. I am sure being store manager he knows that his service advisor was not honest with me and did not informed me properly of all the charges. I worked for several car dealerships as a finance manager as well as sales manager, and completely aware of how things work. So future shoppers of Pep Boys in Monroeville, pay attention to you bill, and make sure to ask how much something is right away.
