I just recently retired and of course my car just recently started acting up. it has been a fabulous car until this point but all of a sudden things are going wrong as if someone flipped the switch. one day about a month ago something was dripping from my car I figured it was oil because I needed an oil change but the fluid was writ nd fluid box was empty. so I put steering fluid in and everything was great for a week except I still had the drips.I got some steering fluid with leak prevention in it. I put that in and the noise stopped the steering got better the drops stopped for about a week. all of a sudden it started pouring out in my neighbors driveway so I took it home and it poured out in my driveway. I've tried several types of stop leak and everything just pours out so it went from a drip to pouring. I put cardboard under the front of my car and delete is almost directly under the steering wheel.now I know it could be a broken hose, a hose that fell off, or the pump. is there a way that I can find out what it is before I bring it to a repair shop as I am a woman and they see me coming and jack up the price and would give me a pump instead of reconnect the hose. now that I'm on a fixed salary, $100 for something I don't need is a big deal for me.

It sounds like it could be a steering rack or line or the pump itself I would find a place that will do a free diagnosis use the shop located at the top of the page and make some calls
