I brought my 1987 Ford 150 in for an oil change and to check out a brake-related noise. After inspection, they suspected it was either the master cylinder or the boost assist portion of the power brakes. They also found the head gasket was leaking and the hard lines from the radiator were leaking. They could not get parts for the radiator leak. Total repair estimate was a little over $2000! I authorized the oil change and master cylinder repairs only and left the vehicle with them. Thunderstorms were in the area and I drove by the shop to check on my truck after hours, around 6:30 pm. I found my truck parked outside, unlocked, driver’s side window down and the seat soaked with water from the storms. I could not believe they left the vehicle so unsecured and vulnerable to theft and or vandalism. I took the truck home that evening and left them a voicemail about what I found and did. I returned the next morning to pay for the oil change and voice my displeasure. The young man in charge apologized and said no charge for the oil change. I told him given what had happened , I could not trust them to do the brake repair given their gross negligence and inattentiveness in securing my vehicle overnight at their shop. I was very surprised and disappointed at Auto Pro. Maybe their shop on Home Avenue is more attentive and responsible.
