Took my car there and they were unable to even diagnose the problem after having the car for 2 weeks. During the 2 weeks they had the car, I called numerous times to check on the progress. Was told they were doing "tests" and was told the mechanic would call me later. Never received any calls. Decided to take the car to another shop and when I went to move the car, the mechanic told me he would move it for me the next morning. At lunchtime, a friend called me to tell me they still hadn't moved the car. When I called them, April told me to come move it myself. I informed her that I had been there the previous day to move it and the mechanic said he would get it moved for me. The shop the car was moved to had the problem diagnosed within a couple of hours.

Rarely have I ever so vehemently despised a shop or considered them to be complete crooks. But that is what they are. STAY AWAY FROM NATIONAL TRANSMISSIONS. I was fortunate enough to not get my money taken by them. Others haven't been as fortunate. I went there needing a new clutch plate with their "free tow, free estimate" coupon. Once my car was there, they wanted to charge me $50 for the estimate. I said they had said free estimate. They said, "Oh that was only for the clutch hydrolics. Now we have to go into the clutch assembly, so it'll be $50." I said never mind, just return my car. They said, "OK, we'll waive the $50 and do the estimate for free." I said no thanks, not going to do business with you. Just return my car (they had said free towing both ways). They said, "OK, you have to come in a sign a paper before we can return your car." I said, how can I get in there to sign a paper when you have my car? Just give it to the two truck driver, and I'll sign it with him. They said no, so I had to borrow someone's car to go in there to get my car back. Was happy that was all I suffered. Reading these other reviews confirmed what I experienced with them. I also ran into someone who went there with his friend, and his friend ended up spending $2000 there for something that he was sure that they broke while they were looking at something else. Should have cost his friend a few hundred dollars, but it ended up costing him $2000. *****STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS*****

took my altima in for a regular timing belt replacement and ended up being a nitemare to get the car back. it seems they dropped a bolt down into the motor and had to pull the engine to retreive it and then had the nerve to charge me for the labor. this place is not where you want to take your car as they simply dont care once its in their shop they know they have you on the hook. oh i also found he advertises to be ASE certified but there is no record of it--go figure

Kinney's always seeks to provide the best service possible. Part of that job is to spot problems and get them repaired. When people just do oil changes and NO MAINTENANCE they get big repair bills or at least they get asked to repair the vehicle in order to make it safe to drive. I see reviews where some folks think that being asked to keep their vehicle in GOOD repair is a bad thing.. they are very shortsighted to do that- just fix it when it breaks.

Went for powersteering, said hoses not pump after changing hoses said it was the pump and timing he quoted price 467. 00 charge me 648.00 rode it didn't make it home it cut off on me. Took back to him, he told me nothing was wrong. Even though the engine light was on and the car keep turning off. Stay away from Rayo auto repair

First off, let me give a thanks to Sabien and the rest of the staff at Standard Gear and Transmission! The service was awesome, and the results are incredible! Hopefully my experience will help others with the Cummins / G56 drivetrain. My throwout bearing was making noise for some time, and I continued to drive the truck, as it is my daily driver. Long story short, this destroyed my clutch fork, input shaft, and input bearing. I was on the fence for some time about doing away with the stock dual-mass flywheel and clutch. Sabien recommended a South Bend Clutch OFEK kit, and let me say, it is amazing! The engagement is similar to stock, but very positive. It does not grab, and shifts are silky smooth. The trans was refilled with 30 wt synchromesh, and it now runs smoother and quieter than I ever believed a G56 could. Pedal effort with the new hydraulics is so light that I nearly pushed the pedal through the floorboard when I started the truck for the first time. Gone are the truck's tendency to buck and jerk in reverse, and the noises from the factory clutch. I'm literally having to learn to drive the truck again, as it's manners and sounds are like new. My TL recently started having transmission problems, hanging up and slipping. Acura had a few issues with 2006 transmissions but based on my mileage the manufacture wouldn't honor any historical issues. The price of a transmission for an Acura would make you think it was a Mercedes! Transmission Headquarters was 40% less than the dealership and guaranteed the work. They got me the car back in about 3 days. It would have taken me that long to get the car to the dealer.

My grand daughter who is traveling from ElPaso to Florida blew her engine and my husband went and towed her here to get it fixed. The staff have been nothing but rude to her and have not tried to get her vehicle fixed in a timely manner. I would NOT recommend this shop to anyone! She has been stuck without a way to get home to Florida for almost a week! This has cost her a job and extreme emotional distress!!!!!!

i brought car in to have transmission check he said it wasnt worth rebuilding and he would look around for a used one he called back next day said he located one it had 50000 miles on it 13oo.oo witch included new axles 6 months warranty i hadnt drove car much only 2200 miles sinced replaced 7 months it started acting up called steve and he said nothing could be done it only had 6 month warranty you would think a 50000 mile transmission would do better than that not very good service not recommended
