I opened Chris Murphy’s Automotive in August 1992.
My mechanical career began with the United States Army where I maintained and repaired wheel and track vehicles from Jeeps up to and including 60 ton track recovery vehicles. Upon leaving the Army, I was hired by an independent automotive garage/gas station where I worked for four years. Leaving there, I went to a family owned independent business and worked with them for an additional eight years.

5 Star Service and Staff

My Trusted Toyota Mechanic
I drive from Mesquite to have Chris Murphy work on my 2002 Toyota Sienna. To use a Texas phrase, they are "straight shooters" about what needs to be done, give good prices, Chris Sr, Chris Jr and Service Manager Wendy are all great to work with. Only issue I have is I wish they were in Mesquite. lol Marilyn Herrin

Auto Repair
I started going to Murphy's Automotive on the recommendation of a friend. She said Mr. Murphy would be fair and not try to do things to my little Honda that didn't need to be done (i.e. - overcharge me). I've been going to Murphy's Automotive for 3 years now and could NOT be happier! Wendy is fabulous on the phone and so caring in person. She sent one of the techs out to help me when I blew a tire right at closing time. She's personable and very helpful. Chris Murphy is a great guy. Watches out for all his customers and is very fair on pricing. I recently had to go to Kwik Kar Lube and Tune because Murphy's was closed and they tried to charge me for work that was covered under a recall. I will NEVER go to Kwik Kar Lube again. Murphy's is it for me. If you're a single woman, this is the place to take your car! They WILL NOT cheat you. They WILL NOT over charge you. They WILL NOT try to fix something on your car that doesn't need fixing. I'll never go anywhere else. Thanks Mr. Murphy!
