water pump & timing belt replacement
I brought my car in for scheduled maintenance (coolant flush, etc.) after hearing a price that was less than a third of what a dealership would cost me for the same group of work. While doing the maintenance, I was informed that I had a leaky water pump and Chris Maldonado, the owner, recommended I have it replaced and the timing belt while he was at it because, according to him, once the timing belt is tampered with (as would be the case with a water pump replacement) it would be suspect and would never be the same. The maintenance, the recommended replaced parts, and an oil change cost me well over $700. Two days later, my engine light comes on for the first time ever in the car. 50K miles and I've never had an engine light or any problem with this car whatsoever, and I bring it here and now there's a light on. I take it back and, at first, Chris doesn't want to take responsibilty for it. He asks if I recently got gasoline and checks my gas cap. Then, he insists that the car is "resetting the timing," to which I replied, "The light wouldn't be on if there wasn't a problem!" Finally, an oil leak was found on (surprise, surprise!) the timing assembly which would have been involved in the repair. This was at 9:00am. Chris says it will "be a a few hours" for the repair. After not hearing anything all day, I call him at 5:30pm. Chris says "it's being worked on right now, and we'll call you in just a little while." I called back at 8:00pm to no answer. I called back at 9:30pm to no answer. So, after dropping $700 at this place, I can't get the courtesy to be called back if my car is going to be kept over night. I'm stuck with them for at least one more attempt at getting this leak fixed because, FYI, after calling a dealership, I was informed that you need to give a car maintenance company 2 to 3 chances to correct their mistake before you take your car somewhere else and legally bill the screw-up company. Stay far, far away from this place!

oil change
Hello My name is Sergeant Tassin from the US Army I went in the shop on 4900 Doniphan Dr, El Paso, TX 79922 915-832-0045 (Lube Doctor) today spent over 280.00 dallors in the shop. I guess one of the employees was not getting paid enough so he steals money from my change on my side door and some from my ash tray. I will not ever go there again. I do and will not trust them again.
