Gen Auto repair

I have used this shop many times - the neat thing is that they realy only charge labor - alot of shops pad their part cost and make more $, this shop is on the level and they do great work. This shop has a 25,000.00 diagnostic maching that hooks up to your computer - NO GUESS WORK I have reffered my friends to this shop - never a complaint I read all of these reports - I own a business and it seems their is always one person who thinks they are more of an expert at your business than you are...

Low oil pressure light service

Mr. Villarreal responded quickly to my call to see if I could come in and saw me quickly as soon as I arrived. Despite the ridiculous circumstances (my car had just been in an accident and you could not open the hood) he did what it took to evaluate my car and when he realized all I needed was some oil, he refused to take money from me. He said it was such a simple issue that he couldn't possibly take money for pointing it out, and even offered to buy me the oil when I realized I had left my wallet at home. I highly recommend him.

Transmission Repair

Texas Transmission is a kindergarden preschool scrupulous mechanic shop that is not bbb acredited. Why does Texas Transmission only ask for cash? Why does Texas Transmission in San Antonio ask for a retainer of $250.00? Why do they not have a professional website? Why does Texas Transmission want to hurry up and grab your cash and get you through the door? Why does Texas Transmission have the owner of the company working on transmissions greased up an unable to shake your hand? This company according to research was purchased 3-4 years ago. After recently placing a newly rebuilt 350 V-8 in my car, the transmission partially went out. On the way to Texas Transmission one of the very well known and respected towing services in San Antonio told me that he knew the owner because it was purchased by a friend of him. He told me not to take it there because of horrer stories he encountered by those that went to the "meat shop", he said. A note was left on the dash board asking them to respectfully leave everything i.e "expensive audio system" alone as well as not "race" the engine. As soon as the owner read the note his "HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE EGO" got the best of him and he became irate and began arguing with me. He asked me, "was the note intended for him?" As if the two sentence note wasn't intended for anyone else but him. He got defensive and said we're a family company and we don't steal peoples stuff. The note never implied that he steals. I told him that I own a very reputable business and if someone left a note in car that I was working on I count it as an opportunity to prove once again that I do good work. I asked him, if my wife was babysitting your child, wouldn't you have a list for her? Well, my car is like your kid... He keeps the car overnight runs several tests didn't know what he was talking about and didn't know what he was doing. He told me the total could run from $1,500 - 2,200 and that I would have to pay in cash. I said that would not

Transmission rebuild

Texas Transmission was recommended to me by one of there customers, and that was the best thing that could have ever happend to me!! I had scheduled my vehicle to go to another repair shop in the area, but when I took it to Texas Transmission and asked them if they could check it, I felt like I was part of the family. They took there time to explain everything to me. They even took me back into there shop and showed me a transmission being taken apart, and showed me what might be happening inside my transmission. Well, after I left there I felt like I needed to be doing business with them, and I did. They did everything they said they would, and beyond! I highly recommend this place!!!! And they saved me soooooo much money compared to the other shop!!!!

transmission repair

Texas Transmission owner, Wayne, has been my go-to for car maintenance, parts, and transmission work for many years. I have driven a VW beetle for many years and have taken it to Texas Transmission for most of the maintenance and for the fluid changes. Although VW beetle's are not the most well-built vehicles, which I found out almost immediately after purchasing one, I have never had a problem with it that Wayne's shop did not detect and offer solutions to or advice on where to go to get the help i needed at reasonable prices. I trust the owner implicitly and have recommended his shop to many friends, family, and co-workers. My family entrust all of our vehicles to Texas Transmission when they are in need of maintenance. The office management staff is also friendly and efficient. I appreciate that any question I ask is quickly answered to my satisfaction and that even the mechanics are friendly and courteous and knowledgeable in their respective field. On that subject: I have great respect for an autobody shop manager that ensures his company is "family friendly" and that his staff refrain from the use of profanity. As a woman, I feel comfortable enough to take my car for maintenance at this shop, which has not been the case in some other shops I have tried. I would recommend this shop to anyone in need of any type of transmission work, from maintenance to repair!

rebuilt transmission

A friend recommended Texas Transmission after having his transmission done there; I was very pleased with the services provided. After shopping around, I noticed that having a transmission problem was not very friendly on the checkbook, however the final price at Texas Transmission was not too bad compared with other shops in San Antonio. I was very pleased to know that all the parts that were put in my new transmission were U.S. made. I would highly recommend their services to anyone in the future.

rebuild transmission / replace radiator

Texas Transmission was highly recommended by my Honda t to have my transmission rebuilt rather than replaced, at a fraction of the cost of replacement. The staff at TX Trans was pleasant and informative as I watched the disassembly of my transmission. Before completion, Wayne told me there was a leak in my radiator and it needed replacing. Although there had been no previous issues, I agreed. After arriving at home with my car, I noticed a strong smell and mentioned it to TX Trans. There was no comment or suggestion by them at that point. The next morning, there was a huge puddle of radiator fluid on my garage floor. When I took my car back to TX Trans, Wayne said it was a hose on top of the radiator fill reservoir and replaced it. I was still leaving puddles everywhere I went, so I took the car to Honda. They did a pressure test and said the connector hose had been installed crooked. They fixed it for $50. I then took a 1200-mile trip and got 33 mpg for the first time ever! However, there was a brand new vibration under the driver's side near the front wheel. I took my car to Honda for an oil change, and they informed me the transmission was leaking and the drive shaft had been damaged. I returned to TX Trans to have them check out the leak. Wayne said they'd cross-threaded a bolt. They repaired it (under warranty). They also replaced the damaged drive shaft at their expense. I told them about the vibration that was not happening prior to the transmission rebuild and was asked, "What will it take to make you happy?" They attempted to fix the vibration, but it was still there. Honda checked out my car and found that the control arm had been improperly installed when the transmission was re-installed. They did the repair for $200+. Over a month's time, I spent many days going to TX Trans to check on my car or to have them check and repair things related to the transmission rebuild. Very. Frustrating. To Wayne's credit, he paid for my rental
