After exhausting our local options we put the discovery 1 on a trailer and took it here. Most reviews were good so we thought we were lucky to find one only 5 hours away. We were mistaken. Maybe for maintenance work they would be ok, but to actually diagnose and fix the problem, I would never recommend them. The first time they had it for 2 weeks and $1100 later we had a tuneup, an ignition coil, new ground wire and spark plugs.... and a vehicle that still couldn't make it out of the parking lot. So keys in overnight slot again and it stayed for another 2 weeks. Both times my husband was told it was running well and they had been driving it around. Amazingly after one month and all the "driving" they did, we had 2 miles put on the truck and it still wouldn't get out of the parking lot. All of the things we had already replaced they replaced again... (ignition coil, oxygen sensor...) and wanted to keep it longer since they thought it was the mass air flow (had 2 sitting in the truck since we already went that route) and kept telling my husband the catalytic converters were blocked (3 months old... and would blow leaves across a parking lot). 2 days after trailering it home (another 5 hour trip there and 5 hours back) my husband talked online to a landrover owner who had similar issues. After checking the crankshaft sensor (as suggested) he discovered the 2 wires to/from the sensor were melted together. After fixing that problem it still "missed". So he went to look at the crank position ring and discovered a tine bent over. Because of this the sensor couldn't see it and was missing. After gently bumping the tine back up into place the sensor saw it and the missing stopped. It is running smoothly and perfectly. Now he just has to figure out why, after they rewired it, the front windows wont roll up or down, and the front sunroof won't either. I am not saying these people didnt want to fix it, I am saying that they should admit when they don't know and quit being parts replacers instead of mechanics. Also their master mechanic never seemed to be around, which makes me wonder if he was would it actually have gotten fixed. If you need a tune up, then this really doesn't apply to you but if you need a problem diagnosed you might want to think before sending it here. $2000 later and still not running any different when you pick it up, you have to ask if it is really worth it.
Coming here is a mistake I will not make again. I was told my car needed brake work, injectors needed cleaning, oil should really be flushed, possible radiator leak. Do you think all women don't know anything about cars? Whenever I told them no, they were very rude. Well, in retrospect, they were that way to begin with. I have never had this big of a hassle.
I had my vehicle serviced here for an oil change, and one of the workers stole money from my vehicle. Please do not go here for an oil change, because they have a thief working in their lube center. If you go here, you are taking a very big chance on the thief stealing out of your vehicl.

Came in for transmission service January 2017 and was told it would cost $600 to look at the transmission. I paid cash, got a hand written receipt, and I told Daniel (manager) to call me with an estimate. He calls me for with the initial estimate of $5000 less the $600 so $4400. I told him to wait for repair so I can talk to my wife, and that I’ll call him the next day. I called him the next day, and he said he’s completed repair of the car. I told him I did not agree to start, so he starts lowering the price to $3200. When I go pickup the car the next day, he tells me one of his porters got into an accident with my car (they said it was the other driver’s fault, which other driver said he was the porter’s fault). Long story short, I ask for owner’s contact info and he says it's private. I contacted him 17 times to get my car fixed (January to end of March). Car was left at the shop for over 1.5 months (tires went low). After which I took the car home and also inspected the transmission and found out the transmission dust cover was missing. I came back immediately and Daniel said he would not install the dust cover & claims it was missing before the repair which he also admitted that he would contact me if anything was out of the ordinary during the repair. After 3 months, Universal finally fixed my car due to the collision but with a very bad paint job/bondo work and missing/broken parts which I had to go back/forth to get fixed. Buyer beware of always negotiable transmission prices and no dust cover being re-installed. If they get into a collision with a customer vehicle, they never gave me their owner’s contact information and their shop insurance to make a claim after repeated requests, so I doubt they are insured. It’s also interesting that my $600 initial cash deposit is not included on my final receipt (only the $3200).

Visited Logan's Auto this past Saturday for a inspection and my brakes in the back were making noise. As always, very professional and forth coming. I have other mechanics charge me for something I did not need and Billy was honest with me, which I am grateful. My vehicle had misfire code, I took it in they repaired it and it was fine for a while but then I had the same issue just over a week ago I took it back they said it was a faulty coil. They warranted the work but, the check engine light is on again and it’s the same issue!!! This place was recommended to me so that’s why I went but I live about 45 min away and I’m afraid my vehicle will not make it.
Come on ppl, you guys are a vehicle-care company!!! Get a diagnostics machine to where you guys can hook vehicles up that are ESP, your business will get even MORE business believe it or not!!!

I brought my car there and paid an arm and leg for them to fix my car and nothing but made it worse. Anyone that reads these reviews and brings there car to them Please call the police immediately. IMMEDIATELY. I wish the police would pay attention to these reviews, go there and shut them down and arrest these thief's. They have a post on Craig's list so beware. Oh that review that someone said their $600 dollar radio was stolen. It wasn't stolen they so called mechanics stole it and lied.
I went here for A simple oil change & they begin check my car for other stuff. The guy came back and said l needed a filter and A oil pan bolt because it was stripped. I agreed to get them replaced as l am not a mechanic & felt that they knew what was best. While on my way to New Orleans my car felt different during the drive but l assumed that it was just the road. About 3 hours in my car began to shake horribly and went from 70 to 10 mph. After its stopped Azred lighting bolt appeared on my dash board & now l am stranded. My car was working perfectly fine before l came here.
Don't go here - the big guy (who says he is the owner - altho I don't believe him) is a LIAR. Said they couldn't add air to my tires since their gauge was only in kilograms (LIE), I think because he was lazy and thought I wasn't going to offer to pay him for it. Another guy overheard his lie and checked my tires and added air as necessary. And now, after reading reviews on other sites, I realize I will need to watch to make sure they didn't leave the oil screw loose when they changed my oil. Horrible customer service, big guy is rude and a liar. Avoid at all costs!!!
Been coming to this shop for a while. Quick stop and go oil changes and tires and pleased with their past service. Today my son took our old van for a check up and oil change. I ended up paying $1,044.61 for brakes and shock absorbers. They took advantage of an inexperienced young man and lied to us about the expected cost of repairs. Once the van arrived at home and I saw the invoice, I called the shop (Kwik Kar Lube Copperfield #106) and asked to speak to the manager. The man that answered the phone refused to let me speak with the manager and all he said was "what you want.... what you want"... deplorable telephone etiquette and customer service. I am recent widow with a tight budget. This expense practically wiped out my checking account. Neither my family nor I will ever set foot in this place again. I will make sure my neighbors and acquaintances stay away as well.

There was one of African-American guys told me "about $20" which I had the same problem before in my car and got it fixed in another repair shop for "NO CHARGE". However, after the guy used a plastic strap to tie it up for my car's skidplate. That guy walked into the rest area and told me "$20 CASH". Since I didn't have enough cash that day, and I pointed their glass door and asked him "BUT, here said Your store accept credit cards." Then, the African-American was madly and yelled to me say "IF YOU NEED ME PUT INTO COMPUTER, THEN IT COST MORE." then, they had me waited a while there when they were putting my car info into computer. THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD $30. That was ridiculous! Afterward, I called back to the store few times and tried to talk to the manager, but they told me NO MANAGER THERE. I've also emailed their customer service center from online twice, but I still didn't get any response from them since this company didn't list any 1-800 for customer to call. BAD SHOP! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THEM! I'LL NEVER EVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN EVEN I LIVE CLOSE BY.

Was sent to this shop by Discount Tires to repair a stud they broke on my van. This shop is horrible, they lack in Customer Service and gave me the run around and never fixed the van. Discount Tires was notifed and they are currently looking for a new vendor.
Horrible Service. These boys don't know what there doing. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS HERE. They took my money but did not provide the service stated on the invoice. Had to get new brakes and rotors within 3 months of them putting new brakes and Rotors on, really really!!! Better Business Bureau gives this Meineke location an "F" rating . Sad but true they are not to be trusted. This business is not BBB accredited.

11-18 -19 My car over heated. Stan, who is a lair and a cheat, told me it was a thermostat. So I greed to have them fix it. Then Stan called claiming the water pump was bad and it is easier to replace the timing belt at this time so I agreed. While they changed the timing belt they mistimed the engine and destroyed it. They bought a replacement engine a “ salvaged” long block. No telling how many mile is on it! I asked that they put the parts I paid for on the salvaged engine. Almost ONE month later, 12-16-19 after repeated calls made by me I was able to pick up my car. I presented the rental car bill and Stan, who is a lair and a cheat said the owner will send me a check, but my car broke after 10 minutes of driving. They tried to claimed it was the exhaust not the engine but eventually cleared the problem. I asked Stan who is a lair and a cheat, if the new parts are on my car and he said no, but I’m going to warranty it for 3yrs 36k miles prorated. Next morning the engine light came on so I took it to the dealer it was there for 3 days while repairing the wiring and sensors that weren’t wired correctly and install missing bolts on the engine! To date my car has still overheated 2X I have exhaust fumes in the cab and most importantly I have not been reimbursed for the rental car and don’t have the parts I paid for.

I was never told that the tires were not balanced. Tires were mounted on the rims but never balanced. Not balancing the tires caused damage to the tires after I drove the RV on the highway . This caused an extremely harsh ride. Violet and heavy shaking. When I returned the RV to JV Houston Tires & Wheels I was informed they could not balance the wheels because they did not have the proper hubs for the tire balancing machine. I have attempted to have the tires balanced, at my expense to no avail. This has gone on for a year with no attempt to rectify the problem. Very hard person to deal with.

I purchased a LS P75 head from this place on a Friday and was later told on the following Monday, by the owner, that I was suppose to remove the head myself. I requested for a refund that Monday and was told Tuesday to pick up the head because they finally removed it that day. The owner said, " Sorry but head is there ready for you and if he didn't have the head then he would refund it." Not only did I purchase this head but I also paid for a motor swap which ended up having an oil issue that they did not fix. I also requested for my car's original motor and transmission back, in which the owner said it was recycled. This was without my permission nor did he notify me about it. Later found out he kept it, as he does with other customers car's motor and transmission; then sells them to new customers. Don't take any advice from this place nor do business with it because there only looking to skim by with your money. The owner does not respect customers and he does not respect his workers. This alone tells you enough about himself and his business. I don't want the people from my city getting messed over by this corrupt Non-Texan.

After the oil change but during the cleaning inside the car, an employee broke my rear view mirror off in such a way that it couldn't be reattached. The guy who broke the mirror was very apologetic and I wasn't particularly upset about that (accidents happen). What did bug me was waiting beside my car for 30 minutes until a manager (Juan) could look at the damage and take down my details. On the back of their copy of the receipt, I wrote down my name, number, make, model, VIN, etc and since it was the weekend, Juan promised to call me on Monday with a resolution. No one calls me on Monday. I wait until Thursday to call them and after 20 mins on hold am told that the part has been ordered and that they will call me when it comes in. No one calls me the following week. I call on Friday and after a lot of hold time, I am told that the wrong part arrived, had to be returned and the correct one ordered. I will be called when it arrives. No one calls me the following week. I show up in person on Sunday and talk to Juan (who doesn't remember me of course). I describe the repeated calls, the repeated runaround and how after three weeks, this just needs to be made right. He promises, to my face, to make amends and take care of me and fix my mirror. I am clear that I will wait 1 week and if it is not resolved by then, I start posting my experience online. That was 9 days ago. Car Spa, your staff lie to your customers, repeatedly, on the phone and in person and it reflects very poorly on your company as a whole. You all literally scammed me out of monies. I brought my car there to get a diagnosis on my AC because it was no longer working. The tech ran a scan, then recharged the freon ($270) only to tell me that the compressor was no good. Mike presented me with a quote of $2500 to replace it, parts and labor. From there, I took my car to another shop whom ran a scan and diagnosed the problem to be the pressor sensor. They charged me $340 for the scan, to replace the sensor, and recharge my freon and the AC has been working ever since. They also told me that you all should have know that it was the sensor before recharging the refrigerant. I will never return to your shop because I do not trust you. The same thing happened when Mike was on vacation and I brought my car in to have a water hose replace. You all did a bypass on my auxiliary water pump. I was told that the part had been discontinued and that the bypass was the work around per the dealership. Well, I called the dealership and was told that was not true as well and that bypassing the pump cause problems. When confronted with this information, after coming back from vacation, Mike insisted that only the hose had been changed which is not true. You all are not to be trusted and I will never refer you business.

Car was left at the shop for over 1.5 months (tires went low). After which I took the car home and also inspected the transmission and found out the transmission dust cover was missing. I came back immediately and Daniel said he would not install the dust cover & claims it was missing before the repair which he also admitted that he would contact me if anything was out of the ordinary during the repair. After 3 months, Universal finally fixed my car due to the collision but with a very bad paint job/bondo work and missing/broken parts which I had to go back/forth to get fixed. Buyer beware of always negotiable transmission prices and no dust cover being re-installed. If they get into a collision with a customer vehicle, they never gave me their owner’s contact information and their shop insurance to make a claim after repeated requests, so I doubt they are insured. It’s also interesting that my $600 initial cash deposit is not included on my final receipt (only the $3200).

I went here for A simple oil change & they begin check my car for other stuff. The guy came back and said l needed a filter and A oil pan bolt because it was stripped. I agreed to get them replaced as l am not a mechanic & felt that they knew what was best. While on my way to New Orleans my car felt different during the drive but l assumed that it was just the road. About 3 hours in my car began to shake horribly and went from 70 to 10 mph. After its stopped Azred lighting bolt appeared on my dash board & now l am stranded. My car was working perfectly fine before l came here.

11-18 -19 My car over heated. Stan, who is a lair and a cheat, told me it was a thermostat. So I greed to have them fix it. Then Stan called claiming the water pump was bad and it is easier to replace the timing belt at this time so I agreed. While they changed the timing belt they mistimed the engine and destroyed it. They bought a replacement engine a “ salvaged” long block. No telling how many mile is on it! I asked that they put the parts I paid for on the salvaged engine. Almost ONE month later, 12-16-19 after repeated calls made by me I was able to pick up my car. I presented the rental car bill and Stan, who is a lair and a cheat said the owner will send me a check, but my car broke after 10 minutes of driving. They tried to claimed it was the exhaust not the engine but eventually cleared the problem. I asked Stan who is a lair and a cheat, if the new parts are on my car and he said no, but I’m going to warranty it for 3yrs 36k miles prorated. Next morning the engine light came on so I took it to the dealer it was there for 3 days while repairing the wiring and sensors that weren’t wired correctly and install missing bolts on the engine! To date my car has still overheated 2X I have exhaust fumes in the cab and most importantly I have not been reimbursed for the rental car and don’t have the parts I paid for.

Don't go here - the big guy (who says he is the owner - altho I don't believe him) is a LIAR. Said they couldn't add air to my tires since their gauge was only in kilograms (LIE), I think because he was lazy and thought I wasn't going to offer to pay him for it. Another guy overheard his lie and checked my tires and added air as necessary. And now, after reading reviews on other sites, I realize I will need to watch to make sure they didn't leave the oil screw loose when they changed my oil. Horrible customer service, big guy is rude and a liar. Avoid at all costs!!!

You all literally scammed me out of monies. I brought my car there to get a diagnosis on my AC because it was no longer working. The tech ran a scan, then recharged the freon ($270) only to tell me that the compressor was no good. Mike presented me with a quote of $2500 to replace it, parts and labor. From there, I took my car to another shop whom ran a scan and diagnosed the problem to be the pressor sensor. They charged me $340 for the scan, to replace the sensor, and recharge my freon and the AC has been working ever since. They also told me that you all should have know that it was the sensor before recharging the refrigerant. I will never return to your shop because I do not trust you. The same thing happened when Mike was on vacation and I brought my car in to have a water hose replace. You all did a bypass on my auxiliary water pump. I was told that the part had been discontinued and that the bypass was the work around per the dealership. Well, I called the dealership and was told that was not true as well and that bypassing the pump cause problems. When confronted with this information, after coming back from vacation, Mike insisted that only the hose had been changed which is not true. You all are not to be trusted and I will never refer you business.

They warranted the work but, the check engine light is on again and it’s the same issue!!! This place was recommended to me so that’s why I went but I live about 45 min away and I’m afraid my vehicle will not make it.
