Oil Pan Gasket

I took my pickup to Charlie to replace the oil pan gasket. When I got it home I noticed he cut a piece out of my exhaust pipe and welded it back in to get the pan off. I still had an oil leak. I took it to the Chevy dealer and he said the oil pan is leaking. So they fixed it again. I told Charlie and he said I should have brought it back and he would have fixed it. Why would I take it to him again and let him cut my exhaust pipe again instead of taking the bolts loose like you should When he just fixed it and it is still leaking? He would not give me any money back. Now my exhaust flow is restricted and he will not refund me anything. Don't take your vehicle to him. Take it to a dealer who will fix it the correct way.

Things have been a little strange, for the first couple weeks after you installed the new command module the tire pressure light stayed off but the other day when I was driving the Tahoe the light came back on for a few hours then went off again.

I appreciated that my car was looked over & it was noticed that it needed new tires. In concern of being safe, without hesitation I went ahead and said to order me new tires. Some what my fault for not asking but the price of the tires came to me as "sticker shock" at first I was mad and felt that I was taken advantage of, but in the end I felt that a good tire was chosen and it was better to be safe than sorry. Point being that "you" should probably tell the customer upfront what the price may be & give them some options. Finding someone to man the front desk is probably not an easy task, I understand that, but I waited a long time while the "boss" was on the phone doing business to ask to get a oil-change. It would have been better for the "boss" to say to the caller, can I put you on hold I have another customer. Instead I just stood there for like 10+ mins. listening tho the conversation, being awkward & feeling not as important. Last the windows were left down on my car and it rained!! My seats were soaked, so I got to drive home in soaked pants.

We broke down in Cody on our way to Gillette at 5pm. Even though Technical Cowboy was closing in just a few minutes, they were happy to see us pull up in the tow truck. They did a quick check of the engine and told us that they'd be able to fix it first thing in the morning, which they did. We were back on our way before the hotel check out time! They had reasonable rates and worked with AAA.

Great service, done on time. Seems something was spilled, though, because when I put the car in reverse when I returned home that night, I smelled a funny odor, like oil burning. Odor has continued for 2-3 weeks after service, but I only notice it when I return home in the evenings while backing up. I had my husband check all my fluids both on service date and 2 weeks after, and everything appears to be at appropriate levels, so unsure what exactly it is. Everything is currently running fine, though!

I really appreciated that the technicians continued to troubleshoot until they found the unusual problem of a sticky/filthy grate. We were on vacation, about to travel through the mountains, and they could have totally taken advantage of our predicament. Instead I feel we were treated very fairly. Probably won't be in the area again, but if I were, I wouldn't hesitate to go here again.
