over hauled engine
February 21, 2012 | Cliiford | Visited, over a year
Main Street Mechanics is also listed at this address. Supposely did a complete engine over haul. But engine never did start. Towed back to California and mechanic here said the cylinder heads that were reinstalled were junk completely disroyed by overheading & should have never been put back on this engine. This company should have informed customer that the heads were unsafe should be replaced with good heads. The damage to the heads were obvious, any professeional mechanic would have seen this and recommended the replacements of heads.Mr. Rogers was charged for inapproiate repairs that should never been done this way, plus the installation of these heads caused further damage to the engine. All money should be refunded to Mr. Rogers. Legal action is beginning now.
