I purchased a used 2000 Nissan Maxima from Dublin Nissan on 8/27/2010. This was a replacement car for a 2000 Maxima that I owned but was totaled in a recent auto accident. I found a replacement at the Dublin Nissan dealership, which appeared to be a perfect replacement because the Car fax report I was given by the salesperson indicated that it was maintained regularly according to the 2000 Nissan Maintenance schedule. In addition to the Car fax report, the salesperson showed me a list of recent repairs that had been performed by their service department to bring the Maxima to acceptable Nissan sale condition – Services performed included replacement of the two front tires, and brake pads on all 4 wheels. Based on both the Car fax, and the Dublin Nissan Service reports I expected no further service would be required for sometime. Was I wrong! After we purchased the car and drove it home over a hundred miles away, my wife sensed a vibration in the steering wheel while braking to exit off of I-80 near our home. I was concerned enough about the vibration that I took the Car to the Brake Masters in Roseville on the following Monday. They checked out the vibration and found the front and rear rotors to be warped. They had to resurface the front brakes, replace the rear ones, and replace all four brake pads. The brake job cost me $ 655. I contacted the Dublin Nissan salesperson, and asked Nissan Dublin to help pay for the brake job, since the Dublin Nissan Service just serviced them and did not disclose that the rotors were out of specification. The Nissan Dublin’s service department had to know the rotors were warped because they reported the brakes were check, and only needed to replace the brake pads. I believe that the Dublin Service department should have fixed the rotors and replaced all the brake pads before giving their approval on the brakes and the sale of the vehicle. I bought a car from R & R that Both Dave and Richard told me ran on both CNG and Gasoline. I took a train from Utah to get the car. They were very nice. Dave told me that they had been driving the car on CNG and Richard guaranteed me "I 300% guarantee you that it runs on CNG" He told me that he had driven the tank empty to ensure all was working. Because of the travel distance and time of day, I didn't have a viable option to go 30 miles to find a CNG station to test it out. Afterall, Richard is a certified mechanic and told me that he personally would guarantee me it ran on CNG. I took the car, and after 12 hours of driving I finally had the opportunity to fill up and drive on CNG... to my shock, the CNG tank was full and the system didn't work. I immediately called Dave and he told me to find a Mechanic to diagnose it and he would take care of it. I found a certified mechanic who diagnosed it as a bad compuvalve. I called Dave back, he now won't take my calls.
