MY daughter is stationed at Travis AFB. I am in SC ( 3000 miles away ). But when she has a problem she calls immediately. Her transmission was dying. I found Edco on a google search for transmission repair, along with a few others. Edco is well documented in the find a business type search engines so I called them and talked with Steve. I felt comfortable with our conversation. My daughter took her 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 to them. They did an inspection and testing and told us what it would cost to fix it. They fixed the transmission and also helped her out with a couple other preexisting issues and recommended a good general mechanic for repairs outside their equipment capabilities. This was several months ago and the transmission is great. No one could have taken better care of my daughter than they did.There is no better recommendation I can give than to say, I would not hesitate to send my daughter to them again ( Steve even told me if she has any car problems tell her to come by and they would make sure she was taken care of ). The BEST tire place! The atmosphere of the business is very relaxed and friendly, and they make sure that if you decide to wait there, you're totally comfortable doing so. But more importantly, they're fast and efficient, polite and courteous, and have good pricing with no tricksy upselling. I've bought tires here and had them checked just for tire pressure; nobody made me feel dumb for requesting that simple service. The wonderful person who helped me today was Kurt, and if you ever get to deal with him, he's an angel. He was super kind, knowledgeable, and respectful. He's a huge part of why Redwood General Tire will continue to get my business for years to come.

I had problem with the engine with my Mercedes and was cautioned about visiting a dealership. A friend recommended this shop and I drove there .Although it was far from San Jose I am glad I did that . They did a good job and fast and were very courteous...
