I absolutely love JC. They've provided consistent, reliable service for my car since I moved to the area. They have saved me tons of money- typically in situations where my dealership tries to upsell an unnecessary service not warranty covered. Recently, they looked at a used dealer car I was interested in buying- and found a few potentially costly issues with the vehicle, that were then taken care of by the dealer. They wouldn't take a cent from me for their time. Don't hesitate to use this wonderful, family run auto service.

This is not simply a service and gas station - Joe is a community member. When I buy gas in another town, I feel like I'm cheating ! McGuckian Motors in Halesite, NY is run by talented mechanics who are also wonderfully kind people. I just returned from there a short while ago after having dropped off my car to have the oil changed and brakes fixed yesterday afternoon. Not only do they ALWAYS find room for me whenever I need them (I had only called the day before), their assistance extends beyond what they offer AT their shop. Today I headed out from the shop with new brakes and fresh oil to stop at a store across town. When I came out, my car would not start -- there was a clicking sound indicating battery problems. I called and in just a short while one of the mechanics had come to my rescue with equipment to get it started, then he had me follow him back to the shop and ordered another battery on the spot. I was set to go in about a half an hour. On another occasion I had stopped in with one of my alert lights going off, reading a problem with the tire; they tended to me right away and fixed it with hardly a wait. They are always friendly and pleasant, even dropping me off at my home when I have had to leave my car and returning to pick me up when the work has been completed. They have created community in their mechanical oasis. It is not just a place that has high standards for their technical profession; it has high standards for their personal dealings with their clients, making it a place of neighborly friendliness with clearly trustworthy and pleasant people. I am so lucky to have found such a place to take my car and it is a great comfort to know I can rest easy with my car in their hands. I cannot recommend McGuckian Motors more highly!
