My 2015 Chevrolet Silverado was due for its first transmission fluid flush at 90,000 miles which was performed by Fishers in October of 2022. Two weeks later, the transmission failed without warning upon departing from a traffic stop light. Within minutes of the event, I brought the truck to Fishers for help. They explained that the transmission had gone bad, could not be repaired, and needed replacement. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, agreed to the replacement and paid nearly $5000. To their credit, the replacement of the transmission with a warrantied remanufactured unit was accomplished quicker than estimated. With the work completed, the truck ran well ...until May of 2023 when a loud squealing noise was heard and followed by a very hard shift. Additional intermittent noises and sloppy shifting prompted a return to Fisher's ...to which they acknowledged that the fluid was already exhibiting signs of failure, but did little else beyond suggesting: "We'll just have to wait and see what happens" and the owner Sarah telling me that she would contact the transmission remanufacturer. A few more weeks of driving with the specter of an imminent breakdown triggered my bringing the truck to a transmission repair specialist. They diagnosed a failing Torque Converter and stated that the fluid should not look or smell the way it did at just 7000 miles after a major repair. Despite being under warranty, I had no desire to wait until the transmission failed, the probable long tow back to Fisher's, likely warranty claim disappointment, and downtime impact upon my business route. My experience with Fisher resulted in the premature loss of a beloved truck, adding a large unplanned financial (on top of those already incurred) and time expenditure for a replacement vehicle. They were given an opportunity to address the problem when it was obviously getting worse and their inaction has lost them this faithful customer, his mother, her neighbor and whomever else I can convince with this review.

Shannon is a pleasure to deal with shows the number and has the updated equipment to do the same procedures as the dealer at FAR less cost. Dealer prices in Ocala seem to have one idea in mind...take advantage of the unaware. The $600 maintenance in Ocala costs $280 in Atlanta. Shannon's cost was $280. Like I said fair and honest. He even tells you when it's not something he's comfortable handling. Also the cleanest garage floor you'll ever see.

Ice Cold Air Discount Auto Repair

This my ICE COLD HELL experience after I paid $5300.00 for auto repair service to Ice Cold Air. The extent of the previous work performed by Ice Cold Air not only left Mr. Cook at personal risk but the potential negligent damage to the vehicle. 1. The engine is dangerously out of tune not only presenting an impending fire hazard but also demonstrate a “run on scenario” as which point operator of the vehicle can not shut down the engine which is an extremely dangerous situation deeming the car undrivable. 2. The vehicle presents multiple miss-fires due to substandard repair practice potentially causing further damage to the internal components of the engine. 3. Multiple key fasteners in critical components were found loose and hazardous but multiple bolts to the transmission and engine assemblies are completely missing. 4. The poor practice used in assembly of Mr. Cook vehicle warrant a complete disassembly of engine and other affected systems, a full assessment of damage incurred and reassembly of the components utilizing proper repair practices and procedures. 5. Break lines - are exposed and attached to the shock springs putting Mr. Cook at risk of break-failure. 6. Exhaust - smokes as if during work previously performed valve stem seals were not replaced or an oil bypass of piston rings. 7. Old Y pipes - have been sealed with putty but still leak. 8. Carburetor and Fuel Pump - Severe gas leak and smell coming from unions to carburetor and fuel pump. 9. Air compressor - doesn’t function. 10. Spark plug wires - are burned and destroyed from engine exposure. 11. Horn blows - when you turn steering wheel. 12. Rear left break light - does NOT work. 13. Oil pan gasket - is sealed poorly with RTV. 14. Transmission gasket - is sealed with RTV and still leaking. 15. Headlights - wiring is faulty, unsecured and connected with Solid State Home wire nuts. 16. Engine - wiring harness is poorly run and not installed to factor specs. NOTE: Mr. Cook has been advised that his vehicle is a safety hazard to not only himself but any occupants inside the vehicle and a danger to other drivers on the public roadways.

Shady, Their version of a coolant flush is just draining the old coolant out and refilling with new. An actual coolant flush is hooking the fluid exchange machine up and evacuating the old coolant from the system and then adding a chemical to circulate and clean the system and then add new coolant. Do not charge customers for something that you aren't doing. When checking rotors you use a micrometer to measure the thickness against the discard specs, using eyeball judgement does not accomplish this. There are many other mishaps by this company, these are only a couple. Buyer beware

Citrus Collision Center

Do not use this body shop for your repairs. They lie and cheat. Citrus Collision was paid for multiple new parts by my insurance company, they instead chose to purchase a recycled part. It looked horrible and was covered in deep scratches on the back window. (See picture) When asked about it, a man by the name of Don said it was new. He then handed the phone to the owner, Gene. I overheard Don in the background saying “she knows the lift gate isn’t new and already called the insurance company” Gene then got on the phone and admitted he bought a recycled part, saying it was the only way he could make money! Outright admitted insurance fraud and acted like it was acceptable. This is why I said they cheat. If they had wanted to substitute a recycled part, they were required to notify our insurance company as well as me, the customer for approval. Gene then proceeded to tell me the insurance company allows him to do this and gives him alternate vendors. This is why I said they lie. The estimate from the insurance company specified the lift gate was to be new and was not an option for an alternate supplier. Our car was returned absolutely filthy inside. It was covered in dust from being in a body shop that resembled a junk yard for three weeks. They had told me they would clean the carpet area and seat where an entire soda had been spilled in the accident, they never did. This was another lie. In addition to the poor quality of workmanship, they are probably the rudest, most condescending group of men I have ever encountered. They did not want me to call and ask for an update and got nasty when I did. They told me the car would be done on 8/7, I called to confirm the day prior and was told it would not be completed the day they had told me. Don said he had no idea who called and told me that. It was another week before it was done. They had our car for 22 days from the date insurance approved it and they still could not do a basic decent job. If you choose to use Citrus Collision be prepared to be treated badly, lied to and ripped off with parts that are not what an insurance company specified. Overall this was probably the worst customer service I have experienced in 30 years.
