Visit 1: A test was done on the vehicle and we were charged $80 for it. As well $90 oil change was performed. Over the next week several lights inside of the vehicle turned on. We found a large volume of oil in our driveway. We returned the car to him. See Visit 2. Visit 2: Allen (the owner) admitted that the oil change was faulty. Allen stated that the oil filter was at fault. As well, Allen performed $300 in tests to figure out why the 'check engine' light was coming on - some of the same tests he performed the first visit. When our debit card was declined we asked if we could write a check - he said 'Make it out to cash.' The Next Evening - Car stopped running while driving home from work. Check engine light came on again. Had to spend $80 to tow it to the dealership (at this point we no longer trusted Allen or his competency with this vehicle). Spent $450 to replace the fuel filter - and do even more tests. Follow up visit to discuss: Went in to Allen to request my money back as the services we paid for he performed badly. Laid out the bill of the costs that we had to cover to manage the process. Allen offered $229 as a refund for his botched services, said take it or leave and said to sign a release form. When we said that wasn't fair and I showed him the below list of items that we felt he owned us Allen immediately called me a schmuck, told me to take him to court and raised his voice. One of his employees called the police on me. Cops came and said there was nothing to do. $80 Original incorrectly read scan. $95 - oil change refund that Allen admitted to screwing up. $275 - three scans which were run because Allen's oil change screwed up our car and because Allen couldn't figure out what was wrong. $80 - Price we had to pay for the car towing. $105 - Four hours of our time that we had to waste going back to Allen's shop in three different visits. went in to have my classic car serviced while away out of town, lower ball joints,wipers not working,& a/c service. the a/c service turned into a night with mis diagnostics 3 times & still did not get it right, 1st I was told I needed a compresor,next I needed an actuator that opened & closed my vents which I was told they needed to take the dash out of my car(which it never was) 8hrs of labor, next I needed a control head... this is where I put the brakes on. Whoa $1,500.00 later I was billed & only got my ball joints done & wipers working. A/C still does not blow cold air, not to mention they charged me for a 4 wheel alignment on a rear wheel drive full framed car (which cannot be done by the way) when I mentioned it Sam looked stunned & had no answer??? why the charge. next when my car was brought around after them having it for 2 weeks the lt & rt doors were riddled with door dents, when I showed him again he was stunned with a loss for words. & offered up $100.00 discount on my bill, well it cost me over $700.00 to re due my two doors & I run a collision center. (not even close guys) these people have no respect for your personal car as my classic was parked out back & was stained from front to back with tree droppings & bird poop, these guys are great talkers but don't be fooled unless its something they can plug a computer into & let it do the work for them. If you don't take my advise & still service your car there make sure you check it well for damages when you get it back as they stack cars side by side & on top of each other on lifts "just say no"

I have a 2002 Toyota RAV4. Suddenly one day part of my exhaust system separated from the catalytic converter. I found Anthony on Mechanic Advisor and called for an appt. He said I could bring it right over for an estimate. He did not charge for the estimate. At first he thought it would need a new catalytic converter which he could get for much less than at the dealer but which was still very costly. I decided to leave it over night and rented a car through his connection with Enterprise. In the morning I called Anthony and was told the car was ready and the good news was that I had not needed a catalytic converter after all and the repairs would only cost about 1/3 of the original estimate. Very good news indeed. My SUV no longer makes noise and it runs great. His work also comes with a 12 month guarantee and I am extremely pleased to have found Anthony on Mechanic Advisor.

I recently came to Hoti Imports Auto Repair shop in dismay over my broken a/c. Upon my arrival I was already filled with disappointment and confusion on to why nobody could diagnose the a/c issue with my car. One shop quoted me over $800 to even take a look at her, another shop told me they couldn't figure out the problem and yet I owed them $300 for the time it took them to figure out that they didn't know what they were doing. There is a saying that the third time is always a charm, well in my case it was! People lack integrity in business and are only focused on making a profit instead of gaining loyal customers. Especially if you are a woman, the easier it seems for men at least, to take advantage of us. My point-in-case is this.. Hoti Imports Auto Repair not only fixed my a/c the same day I brought it in, they also didn't rip me off!! I wasn't charged for the time it took them to figure out the problem, nor was I charged an amount anywhere close to $800. I have gained an enormous amount of respect and trust for this shop, and this will be the ONLY place I take Blair (my cars name) to be worked on. If you are looking for a hard working and trust worthy place to take your cars, then Hoti Import Auto Repair is the place to do it! Love my 2011 Fiesta which I purchased at Maroone Ford of Delray. Only complaint is I have had them tint my windows now 2 times and they are starting to bubble up again. Will not go back for window tinting
