Initially, I thought that MarineMax’s first priority was their customers. After working with them to purchase a boat through their brokerage program, however, I’ve learned that I was sorely mistaken: their top priority is to sell boats no matter the cost or negative impact to the perception of their brand. Although MarineMax may not be directly responsible for the boats they broker, I thought that the company would know the boat’s history, have standards and, consequently, provide a trustworthy brokerage program. However, my experience from the start has shown that the program—and MarineMax itself—cannot be trusted. Throughout the process, I have been deceived. First, I was told that a 150-point inspection would be conducted to properly aid me in the buying process; it wasn’t, not only leaving me with a boat that was taking on water but also endangering myself and other road users when the trailer’s guide arm broke on my way home. While MarineMax had apparently inspected both the boat and the trailer, they failed to see that the guide arm had deteriorated so badly that it would easily break. Ultimately, this meant that I was uninformed of the damage prior to purchase and unable to make an informed decision. More crucially, MarineMax’s oversight made other road users susceptible to serious injury. When I arrived home and put the boat in the water, water began spewing out of the engine compartment, the sinks, toilet and shower, leading me to believe that the boat hadn’t been properly winterized. What’s more, the bilge pump in the floor of the lower hall didn’t work, consequently allowing the cabin floor to become soaked. Understanding that problems would arise within reason, I took ownership of the boat and hired a MerCruiser mechanic. When the issues began spiraling out of control, however, I contacted MarineMax only to be greeted with unhelpful reminders that the boat was brokered as well as further deception. For example when dealing with general manager Cliff D’Amico, he wrongfully claimed that MarineMax would pay for certain repairs to rectify my poor experience—something he made a point to tell me was not normally done; in actuality, the warranty company was covering those repairs. Eventually MarineMax’s Vice President contacted me on the pretense of doing whatever he could to turn my experience around. After agreeing to pay half of my latest repairs he clarified that I would need to sign a waiver that kept me from speaking about my experience, calling into question how well MarineMax online reviews reflect the actual customer experience. I contacted the warranty company when I noticed that some of the parts for this $4200.00 repair were listed on the warranty. I was told that the way the issue was reported to them was because of maintenance issues – so anything reported as a maintenance issue supercede parts that are on the actual warranty. At the same time, I was told in order to obtain this warranty MarineMax has to certify with an inspection that the boat is in “like new condition”. Clearly that was never done. I feel if I were to document my entire MarineMax experience the end result would constitute an entire book. In summary, MarineMax doesn’t stand behind any of their promises and use tactics that are misleading at best. Moreover, once issues arose with my boat, the MarineMax team was not only unhelpful, but exceedingly unprofessional and incompetent, repetitively breaking what they attempted to fix, fixing what was not broken as well as exhibiting exceptionally poor customer service skills. With no foreseeable end in sight, despite having spent an estimated $15,000 in two months in “repairs”, I am currently in the same position of having a MarineMax brokered boat that has been taking on water since its purchase and wondering where the incompetence ends. This ordeal has added a great amount of stress to my life, completely undermining the reasons for purchasing a boat as a means of relaxation and source of enjoyment.

WARNING: UNETHICAL AUTO REPAIR EXPERIENCE Photos on Google reviews. Please check them out there. I must strongly advise you to avoid trusting or doing business with Bruce European Auto Repair. My personal experience with this establishment has been nothing short of a nightmare. I brought my car in for transmission repairs, and it has been a never-ending saga of lies, incompetence, and broken promises. Here's a detailed account of the ordeal I've endured over the past several months, and I feel compelled to share it with others to prevent them from going through a similar ordeal. I have also included screenshots to substantiate my claims. Lie #1: When I inquired about the status of my car, I was told they had "ordered a Solenoid from Jack's Transmission." However, when I followed up with Jack's Transmission, they had no record of any parts being ordered. This was the first indication of dishonesty and deception. Lie #2: The car sat in front of the shop for over a month before they even started diagnosing the issue. They constantly assured me that the car was being worked on, but over two months had passed without any substantial progress. Lie #3: On August 23rd, they claimed to be "working on getting it back together," yet no work had been completed. Lie #4: I was told that the blinker was fixed and that they were addressing the airbag issue. However, the blinker was not fixed when I picked up the car in October, and the airbag issue remained unaddressed. Lie #5: On August 24th, they informed me that a "flushing procedure for the solenoid" was necessary, even though they hadn't replaced the broken part in the transmission. This was clearly an unnecessary step. Lie #6: In early September, I visited the shop to see the car's progress. I observed the transmission pan in the car, and when I excitedly asked if the transmission was fixed, they lied, assuring me it was good to go. This was a missed opportunity to be honest about their inability to fix the car. Lie #7: On September 12th, they claimed that their "buddy, the GTR god," was coming to take the valve body back to his shop. This never happened, and it was clear they were making excuses to buy more time. Lie #8: On September 22nd, they stated that they were working on putting the car back together but were missing a special bolt from Nissan. However, they failed to ensure the right parts were ordered and installed properly. Lie #9: On September 25th, they claimed the correct bolts had arrived, but when I had the car taken to another shop, I discovered they had used subpar bolts instead of the appropriate ones. Lie #10: On September 26th, they promised that I would get my car back that day, but it was just another empty promise. This individual even bizarrely alluded to the possibility of physical confrontation, indicating that he knew his lies were catching up with him. Lie #11: When I asked for an invoice for the part replaced in the transmission, they claimed their system was down and couldn't provide it. This further reinforced their pattern of dishonesty. Lie #12: Even after the truth had been exposed through text messages, they made empty promises of compensation through their attorney but have failed to deliver on these promises. This entire experience has been a nightmare, filled with deception and broken commitments. I strongly advise against entrusting your vehicle or finances to Bruce European Auto Repair. As of October 14th, there has been no attempt from their end to resolve this situation, and it has been an agonizing and costly ordeal. Please learn from my experience and avoid this establishment at all costs.

Frank is a master in his art. He has now completed the 2nd major engine out service on my Ferrari 355, the first in 2008 and recent one in 2015. The most recent service included huge changes including radiator replacements, suspension and shock work, engine tear down to replace and test everything (injectors, leakdowns etc). Frank takes his time and misses nothing. Anything that comes up while in the process gets a phone call and a decision is jointly made before he proceeds. He takes his time and is a true adviser, never pushing for additional work always advising and showing, reviewing and making decisions based on time and cost and availability. He is honest in his assessments and happy to review risk/rewards. His pricing is fair and he has never taken advantage. He treats all his customers with respect and not as another wallet to be taken advantage of. He truely loves the cars he is working on. He will happily take time for phone calls and "dumb owner" questions and happy to meet with you any time of the day to just shoot the breeze. Nobody will ever work on my Ferrari's other than Frank in the future.
