Auto repair service near Decatur, GA

My mechanic could not fix check engine light and said to take to dealer ship. The computer said bad coolant sensor. Took to dealership, all he had to do was plug it in. He had the car 4 days and said it was the wiring harness. They wanted $1200 for the harness and $1000 for labor, this was far more than the car was worth. I took it to A-1 he called back and said it was the coolant sensor, the dealership had sent a bad one. He also replaced a relay that sometimes would stick and car would not start. Cost, total, $300. We are retired and I can't work on cars anymore. I will definitely take it here and if they can't fix it they will see that it is done right and bill you for it. So refreshing to meet an honest knowledgeable man in the auto repair business. If you don't know cars, take it here.

I bought my first car from Atlanta Car Exchange in 2003. Since then I've bought 2 more. David Bowen is the owner and I actually consider him a friend. Five stars all the way. I'm picking up my forth tomorrow. David is driving to Gwinnett County to take me to pick it up.

Great repair shop! D'Best Auto care offers fantastic customer service - like one used to get in old times - where everybody knew everyone and you felt right at home. Diego Fuentes, the mechanic, who also happens to be the owner, is very knowledgeable and can work on just about any car, whether the older technology, or the newer computerized cars. Their prices are very good. I'm glad to have found a personal mechanic whom I can trust.

I would like to thank David Jacov and his staff for always helping me out! I have found a diamond in the rough for a business being honest, ethical, and always doing a great job. David and Team have always helped me out when I show up first thing in the morning. I have a 2008 GL550 which is in very good shape but seems to need some "TLC" every now and then. I called several transmission shops looking for reasonable pricing for a rebuilt transmission, finally I called Tim at Dependable Transmissions Plus, he scheduled me to come in, give me price break down of all my parts and labor. Dependable Transmissions Plus was the most reasonable and I found comfort in allowing them to fix my car. When I gave him the go ahead to start the repairs, to my surprise, not only was my car finished as promised, He turned around and gave me a $100.00 discount. Do not buy from this dealership. BEWARE! STAY AWAY! We bought a car that had a head gasket problem. It ran fine for almost a month, but the Stop Leak that they used to "fix" the head gasket stopped working and caused damages to the cylinders in the block. Now I'm about to pay almost as much as what we paid for the car to get it fixed. Lesson learned. Get a reliable mechanic to run a full test on a used car. Make sure to ask them to do a leak test to be 100% sure. If you want to spend additional money for a used car, then go right a head and buy from these unethical people.

SOLD CAR KNOWING OF REAR DIFFERENTIAL ISSUES AND NOT INFORMING SELLER purchased 06 chevy impala on 07/22 for 6500 cash.. advised the car was in great running condition. they fixed brakes which were scrubbing before purchase was final. The following morning i called informing of the awful noise coming from rear of car and they advised me to bring it back in on Monday and let them make sure brakes (which they ahd replaced at time of purchase) and catpillars were ok. On Monday 07/24 car was taken back in and ray - max and jose stated they would replace callipers and gave a loaner car to driver. we picked the car up on 07/26 and they stated they purchased a warranty since they did not hear the sound were were telling them about they didnt want us to have any issues with the running of the auto. we left and once again the noise started, which ray had told mr price if the noise happens again call us we want to make it right.we called the warranty after finding out the noise we are hearing is the rear differential (rear end) falling out of car. the warranty doesnt not cover this because it is an existing issue and the warranty is only been effective for 2 weeks and we will have to pay for the repairs. when i call and inform of the noise again like we had been instructed by ray i am told their hands are tied and there is nothing else they can do for us. after being told if the noise continues, call us and bring it back since wehn they had it to repair the callipers they didnt hear the noise, and here is warranty which is not worth a crap. when i called 08/07 and explained that the warranty would not cover this repair, jose states his hands are tied and that he mentioned to ray that i had called and that there is nothing else they can do for me. this place wants to show honesty and integrity, however 6500.00 cash and told car is in working condition? now i have a car sitting in the driveway thats paid for but not driveable? i am devastated at the lies of honesty they give a
