Two Car GUYS

2852 Us Highway 67, Festus

I have never been so insulted by a company. The man who handled my application and phone conversation was very rude and condescending. Here we are talking about my finances and as I explained to him that my bankruptcy was because of a business I closed due to the economy…he explained that “ he knows about business, he has been in business for 22 years….(WHAT selling cars?! WTF cares…I mean real bu siness)”. All excuses aside, I have a bankruptcy open. When he asked me about a down payment, I explained that if I had the cash …I wouldn’t try financing a car; I would go to craigslist and outright purchase a car and cut out the middleman prices. BOY he hit the roof….”well if you don’t trust us and would rather buy from a person…DO you buy furniture from individuals, or fruit he asks.” Fruit…really? No, I buy my fruit from a grocery store, and I purchased my furniture new, this is a used car… The man proceeded to tell me that “maybe that is why my business failed--- (why? Because of my reservations of salesmen?)…Really…I asked, “Why would you want to say that….” THIS man is EXACTLY why consumers would much rather go to the dentist, rather than buy a new car from a salesman. Rock on buddy….keep the reputation of car salesmen alive – of sneaky, greasy, greedy little salesmen-with your negative, condescending, ignorant attitude and your ill-chosen remarks. This salesman, owner, manager….WHOEVER…had no right to speak to me the way he did. He had no right to place judgment on neither my lifestyle nor my financial situations. He especially had no right to tell me why my business failed. He is a peon selling cars….I am an educated, well respected woman, and I will list my review of this poor dealership experience on EVERY local car review I can find. No consumer should be treated like I was by this idiot. And now I have a goal to let every consumer know exactly what a piece of …work this dealership represents. And next time your establishment decides that they want to

Auffenberg Hyundai

Our car is two years old and had about 10,500 miles on it at the time this happened. Auffenberg Hyundai changed our oil and did not put oil in the car before letting my wife drive off. She drove 2 miles. She took the car back and they basically put oil in the car and rushed her out as to keep things quiet. After I got involved they wrote a letter stating Auffenberg will cover the engine to 100K miles but according to the warranty if I have a problem and have to take it someplace else it is not covered if it is deemed lack of oil is the cause. I asked them if they would do a complete engine tear down to inspect and they stated that if they did not find anything wrong they would charge me $2000. I then asked for a new engine. They said if they did that it would be a "Like Kind Quality" (LKQ) engine. I later found this meant it was going to come from a salvage yard. This is all for a problem they caused. And in the end we still had to pay for the oil change! Do not use their service department! Or for that matter buy a car from these people!

Great people work here. I took in an old 1972 351C block because of some stuck bolts I couldn't get with my tools at home. They got it off with no problem, they didn't charge me for anything. I had planned on paying for the use of the tool and a few minutes but they wouldnt let me. Definitely where I am taking my business from now on.

Our truck broke down last week and was put in this shop for an alternator. I was told they would consult with me before doing work on the truck. I called several times, ( a cell phone because the shop number is disconnected ) but my calls were ignored. After 5 days in the shop, I finally talked with someone who told me the work was done and the truck was running good. I picked the truck up, got on the highway to come home and broke down again. Surprisingly enough, my calls were ignored again when I tried calling the shop. I left a message and told them I needed them to return my call, that was yesterday afternoon and still no call. It costed an additional $75 to have the truck towed to my house in Shiloh. After it was towed to my home, we raised the hood to try to jump the battery. Noticed the alternator wasn't changed, but our new battery was replaced with an old one. I strongly suggest you find a different shop. This place is a rip off. We will be talking to an attorney about our experience.

Rovan Motors Inc

1.0(1)
1101 Saint Louis Rd, Collinsville

The warranties are worthless as you have to pay for your labor if your car breaks down. I had my car for less than a month and the radiator had to be replaced. I paid over 4000 for the car and still had to cough up over 100 dollars toward the repair. Rovan paid the difference not the warranty. It has been less than a year and the timing belt has broken on the car, lesson learned. I will never ever buy a car from this delearship again and veer people somewhere else.

My 2006 VW Passat had been losing oil consistently for 2 years now. Many trips to the Dealership and I was told this was normal oil consumption . Not convinced I found Autos of Europe and explained the situation to the Service Manager. He seemed very knowledgeable of my situation and convinced me to bring the vehicle in for a second opinion telling me they run into this all the time. Brought my car in on Monday and had a diagnosis the same day, yes, the same day. I informed them I had an extended warranty and they worked with my warranty company to have the turbocharger replaced and the PCV system repaired, the warranty covered all the repairs. 2 years at the dealer with no result, never again.

Midas Overland

Had a slow leak. Tried two shops near my home and what seemed fixed ended up not being. Leak continued. Tried the Midas in Overland because near my work. On a lunch break they found it to be a bad valve. Removed tire, installed new valve. filled and has yet to leak. Sounds simple but other shops failed. I am just glad they took the time to actually figure it out. A new tire was over $150. So, I am grateful. Ask for Jamie or Robert. Thx
