Awful place. I brought my car there because the front driver's side wheel was making a scraping sound. The owner Bill went on a ride with me so he could hear the sound, which he did and had an idea of what it could be. I brought the car back during my scheduled time, which after waiting for about 4 hours after I dropped it off that they can't figure out what is wrong with it, saying there seems to be nothing wrong with the "rear: tires. They spent 4 hours looking at the wrong end of the car. I told them and the owner knew that it was the front driver side. After 3 more hours after the phone call I go there to see what is going on to find my car outside, not even being looked at. And no phone call giving me any more information on it. The girl at the front desk said it "must be my brakes" and I should get a certain kind to fix the issues. The brakes are BRAND NEW CERAMIC BRAKES, not cheap metallic ones. It's not the brakes. Then she said it must be the rotors because they had some wear on them. Please you have no idea what it is and the owner decided to go home a few hours after they opened. Poor Communication. Lastly, I took my car home to find grease all over the driver side interior door and a large scratch right in the doorway (freshly scratched). The grease has been a pain to get off and the scratch is down to the metal. I have photos to post as well. POOR SERVICE.

I was in there on 05/06/2011 and I went inside to pay, Im standing in line there's an older lady that was at the counter with short brownish hair and a little heafty, then there was a customer that was not in line scratching off a ticket, I was the next inline after 2 ladies and the lady with the ticket jumped infront of me to turn her ticket in, the attendant working (the heafty one) say's to me "she was in line 1st" I said well It didnt look like it to me and I put my $ on the counter and said "I'm on pump #6and I have a crying baby in the car and I started to walk out. The attendant said to the customer with the ticket "what a rude trashy girl" I just kept my mouth shut and left, well the attendant say's over the intercom "I have your license plate # and dont come back." 1st off I did nothing wrong and she seems like the rude one calling someone trashy that she doesn't even know. How do you get business with having rude people work for you

This place is my heaven on earth. If i could give more stars i would. Weve had them work on our 2009 yukon denali, our 2012 chrystler 300, and our 1999 mitsubishi eclipse. The last job i brought them was a 1987 Chevrolet C20 pickup. The transmission needed a rebuild. They did it in under a week, and they even beefed it up for just 100 more bucks! It was smooth, down shifts were incredible, the whole shabang. Everytime i hear someones having a problem with a car we dont know how to fix, this facility is my first recomendation. These people are so great, ive called asking their opinions on a noise and instead of giving me the same old same old ever shop does, "well.... youll have to bring it in and well charge to look at it" theyve helped me over the phone asking to describe it. Ive even had the receptionist pull a guy from the garage for his opinion! The only bad thing i have to say is, ive called numerous times to set up an appointment and tbe problem gets fixed by itself or i fix it, then forget to call and say its a no go on the appointment, or i do call and i emd up canceling. I feel so bad every time i do it because they are really good people! Thats my fault not theirs though. I have a 1973 corvette that was recently involved in a rear end hit, as soon as the body shop finishes with the back, everything i need done to it will be going to Natiomal Pride. I recommend this place to anyone with any car problems they dont feel confortable with doing! Dylan S. Gurnee, IL

This shop is under different ownership since the earlier reviews I've been using them for everything from my alignments tires engine and emmisons repairs and atv engine work and motorcycle repair. I've had no problems and been very satisfied. The current owner has been very open and approachable when I had questions. And the costs have been easily 30% cheaper than other shops in the area. They are a neighborhood shop so no fancy uniforms or goldfish in the office or other things that compound overhead. Just old fashioned motor heads who fix it and honestly tell you what can what if money is tight.
