BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! We bought a 2006 ford explorer for about $9500 from Northeast motors in North Hampton, NH from cargurus.com. Decent price, was what we were looking for, they are local and delivered to us, and it even came with an inspection sticker. The first 2 miles that I drove it, the check engine light came on. Called them immediately and they said there was nothing they could do until they talked to the owner. The owner had the secretary email to bring it back and they would pay for HALF of the repairs. Brought it to our local garage and they found numerous things wrong with it totaling about $1600 in repairs. Local garage said it should have NEVER passed inspection as it was unsafe to drive. I had driven it with my 2 kids in it already. The brakes and rotors are horrifically bad ~ not road worthy. The wheel bearing in one of the tires is gone ~ another safety hazard that shouldn't have passed inspection. One windshield wiper is broken ~ another reason it shouldn't have passed inspection, As it shifts in to overdrive, it severely bucks which our mechanic says means a bad spark plug and it is a big job to take the spark plug out of these things. The bushing on the serpentine belt is bad causing the serpentine belt to slip and needs replacing. Our garage gave us written statements for all of these things (which we gladly paid to have a full review) and we supplied to the owners of Northeast motors and they respond with "We are in business to make money NOT take cars back". Really? Sound like good customer service? We literally drove the car for about 25 miles and parked it and they won't take it back. They offered to do the repairs but only if WE paid for half of them? REALLY? Would you trust having them do the repairs? They are in the business to make money. They would probably put used parts on or jack the prices up so that we have to pay for it all. Very Dishonest and Deceptive people. Even their own warranty states that they will pay half of all repairs.

I went to this place and bought for a 05 Chevy uplanded for 4500. It was not worth half that. Out side looked amazing but what was hiding well here is some of what happened. 3 days after buying it died and needed fuel pump a week later I brought to auto care plus in Portland and was told this van is junk should not be on rd and is extremely unsafe. Cut pressured gas lines rigged with rubber hose and wire ties. All brake and gas lines are held by plastic zip ties. The radiator is only held in place by the hoses from the radiator. There are holes completely through both side on driver and passenger floorboard you can actually touch the carpet from underneath the car the brakes are messed up. Now keep in mind when I brought this Into auto care plus in Portland I was only under the impression that I needed a windshield wiper for the back and my E break was messed up that’s all Mike said that this was owned by a veteran and he took care of this van for years for this veteran and he knew all about it inside and out and then it was well taken care of by the veteran and he serviced it well that doesn’t help what I find out next . He also said nothing was wrong with it he said other than that this thing is perfect runs great. Now anybody including myself with no knowledge takes a look under this car and realizes how not okay or safe it is. But I did not look I took his word especially when he said that it was a veteran that owned it and he serviced it I mean let’s face it he must’ve taken care of him right? yeah right! the car could’ve blown up from the gas lines coming apart they’re pressurized, the brakes could of gave out because the brakes a messed up and the lines are messed up the radiator could’ve fell out and caused an accident he watched me put my kids in that van, all while convincing me it was safe. Now keep in mind the vehicle went back to get the fuel pump replaced so he had it on a lift he definitely could’ve seen all the issues, if he didn’t notice when he stickers it. ???? the engine mount is completely gone there’s so much stuff there’s like $7000 worth of stuff that needs to be done on an cheap side. I called Mike to try to make it right with this, and he basically said oh my God what’s the problem now with his response he also has no interest and coming to a resolution with me, like fixing or replacing it or giving me my money back. I mean let’s face it this is his fault he as a mechanic inspection station and a person that’s been in the field absolutely should know what he just sold was intended to hurt somebody so now I also will be making a complaint with the inspection station, state troopers, consumer affairs, attorney generals office, the commissioners office, Congress, Better Business Bureau and many many others including civil lawsuit I gave him an option to give me my money back and take the vehicle and leave it alone but he decided that he’s not that type of person he is. He obviously would rather directly cause significant potential harm to people. steer clear and stay away from this place if you want to be in a safe vehicle I would seriously recommend checking the vehicle out a lot if you purchase his. because you may end up hurt. Also there’s many other things wrong with this van just not enough time to mention it oil leak transmission issue check gauges sensors exhaust leak the holes in itself with the exhaust coming into the car I mean that no wonder my kids were getting dizzy anyway buyer be careful and cautious.. I also added a photo of the van so you can all see what I saw before bringing it into a garage goes to show what kind of ppl you may deal with if you go here. Be careful.
