CAME IN FOR BRAKES, GOT A GREAT PRICE AND THEY DID IT SUPER QUICK!!!

This review is for Auto Center of Canton which I presume is the new name for this shop. I drove my 2000 Volvo S80 to get it diagnosed because the engine kept missing even after new parts were replaced. This took place on October 16th of 2019 and all I've been getting about this problem is the runaround from a mechanic named Rich. Initially I was told that the engine may need to be replaced with a price tag of $2700.00. I went out to the shop to put half of the deposit for the engine and then was told that the engine was fine, but it was the engine control module that was in need of repairs. Instead of Rich contacting me of the status of the module, I've had to keep calling and then Rich never calls back when he says. It's been over a month of waiting and this is unacceptable as my wife needs to be cared for and taken to her oncologist for cancer treatments at U of M hospital. At this point and right now, I want my car back with the original module and my $500.00 since nothing but waste time has been done. I caution anyone considering this place for repairs as they are just monkeying around and wasting people's time and money.

I've had my car repaired a few times at the Firestone on Haggerty between 7 and 8 Mile Roads in Novi. I've always suspected they were ripping me off, but because the jobs were typically relatively small, I put up with it. My most recent visit was the proof of their character. I came in with an exhaust leak with my 200,000+ mile Honda Accord. Jacob came out and told me the job would cost $2,100 because the entire exhaust system was rusted out and was hanging on by two O2 sensor wires. Otherwise the whole system would drop onto the road. He said it was very unsafe. Not wanting to spend that kind of money, I took it to S&K Muffler in Royal Oak, MI and ended up paying $733. When I mentioned my experience with Firestone Complete Auto Care, he said the system was not hanging on by two wires, but was fully attached and in good shape. Also, the $560 catalitic converter Firestone claimed was rusted all the way through was fine and in good working order. Consider this store (possibly the entire franchise) Firestone Complete Auto Ripoff Centers.

Trustworthy auto-care isn't easy to find, unless you're in Northville it seems. Chris Myers

these guys are great. they kept me informed on the progress and had it done when they said it would be, with no additional price increases. their honest and they get it done when they say they will. thanks kevin and crew.
