This is one of those shops you hope to find. The service is honest, fair and at a very reasonable price.

Fantastic job done, guys! They really know cars! Will definitely come back later.

I was quoted a moderate price for the repair, and I wasn’t charged a penny over. Of course, on the way to my wheel bearing they claimed they had to disconnect my anti-lock brake system, and then they refused to reconnect the ABS. Why, you might ask, would they refuse to reconnect something they disconnected in the first place? Well, because they didn’t just disconnect the ABS, they cut the line. Let me repeat that: they cut my anti-lock brake line and refused to reconnect it! It gets worse though. I asked them over the phone to check my alternator as another mechanic had informed me that it needed replacing. I had to remind them each time I called as they seemed to forget about this checkup, despite the fact that my car made significant crackling noises when running that, in hindsight, sound very much like an alternator issue. Anyway, they tell me the alternator is fine, perfect in fact, and that they’ll throw in a free alignment just for the hell of it. Was this for the cut brakes? Fast-forward two weeks. The crackling noise comes and goes, but doesn’t seem to be getting any worse. I’m driving downtown on the way home from work and the car dies on the highway! The alternator is gone, smoke pouring out of the car, and here I am, struggling to get out of dangerous traffic with an unresponsive vehicle. The car’s essentially unfixable according to several other automotive shops in the area. Thanks Gowers for cutting my brakes, lying to me about the alternator, and putting me in danger. TL:DR Gowers cut my brake line, refused to fix it, lied about my alternator, and now my car is ruined
