McGuckian Motors in Halesite, NY is run by talented mechanics who are also wonderfully kind people. I just returned from there a short while ago after having dropped off my car to have the oil changed and brakes fixed yesterday afternoon. Not only do they ALWAYS find room for me whenever I need them (I had only called the day before), their assistance extends beyond what they offer AT their shop. Today I headed out from the shop with new brakes and fresh oil to stop at a store across town. When I came out, my car would not start -- there was a clicking sound indicating battery problems. I called and in just a short while one of the mechanics had come to my rescue with equipment to get it started, then he had me follow him back to the shop and ordered another battery on the spot. I was set to go in about a half an hour. On another occasion I had stopped in with one of my alert lights going off, reading a problem with the tire; they tended to me right away and fixed it with hardly a wait. They are always friendly and pleasant, even dropping me off at my home when I have had to leave my car and returning to pick me up when the work has been completed. They have created community in their mechanical oasis. It is not just a place that has high standards for their technical profession; it has high standards for their personal dealings with their clients, making it a place of neighborly friendliness with clearly trustworthy and pleasant people. I am so lucky to have found such a place to take my car and it is a great comfort to know I can rest easy with my car in their hands. I cannot recommend McGuckian Motors more highly!

Joe, Anthony and Roger and the staff are the best. They talk to you like a person. On Oct 8, 2016 I called Meineke on Forest Ave today and mentioned my car had a rattle and that I was concerned if it was safe to drive. Steve who answered the call said no problem come in and we will look at it. Car is 15 years old with low mileage. Steve and Chris were excellent. They were very busy but within 5 minutes put the car on the left and said it was the heat shields that had to be adjusted. It was fixed in a matter of minutes with no charge. They are now my go to place for car maintenance. Highly recommend Steve and Chris who were courteous, knowledgeable and honest. Nice to know that in todays day and age there is still a place you can trust for fast and honest customer service. Way to go Steve and Chris.

Amazing customer service, I was attended to immediately they are kind and curtious professional Mechanics who are dedicated to there customers. I had great experiences every time I went. A lil pricey but the job gets done. And they are also Christians like me whom I can trust telling the truth and honest.
