Why you should not go to Midas on Hwy 99. Hopefully you will read this before you step into this shop. I feel for the current manager and employee's. This business goes through a lot of managers and employees. Why, because the problem is with the owner Bruce Costello. This tired and angry man reminds me of a Scrooge who never learned the lessons from the 3 ghosts. Imagine working for this person.  "The customer is always wrong" is the motto he lives by. My story? Fact: I deposited cash to have my truck worked on at Midas on Hwy 99. Purpose of funds, Rebuild engine, electrical, etc.  Fact: The manager and employee counted, verified the funds and gave me a Midas receipt. Fact: Owner (Bruce Costello) calls cops on the manager for stealing the cash. Manager admits to stealing the cash, goes to court, etc. Now, you would think the owner would make it right?  Bruce Costello basically washed his hands of everything and told me I should be suing the manager, not Midas. This is the type of owner you are dealing with. I am happy to say after YEARS of lawyering up Bruce Costello finally had to pay up AND return my truck that he held onto. He and his lawyer were going to lose in this case "Green v. Costellos Auto Repair, LLC, et al 19-2-02714-06" so they finally settled. Bruce lost big time trying this crap. But that did not stop him from using delay after delay tactic in order to drag this out. Watch out, he will try this with you as well. Folks, run away from this place. The person that runs this business is a low life, dishonest, deceitful, lying, untruthful, insincere, swindling, and cheating owner.

If I could give them a worse rating then this I would. I received absolutely horrible customer service by the owners, of all people. I went in using a coupon I had got off of Groupon and asked for an oil change. I was a first time customer of Meineke and thought they were offering a good deal through Groupon so I'd try it out. Bad mistake. I had only asked for an oil change nothing else, as my car did not need it and I was short for time. Before I knew it the mechanic came into the lobby and told me he broke part of my wheel while getting my tire off. I was confused as to what he was talking about so he led me into the back to show me. As he was explaining that the piece broke because of who ever put the tires on last tightened them too much and I would now pay for the part he broke, it hit me.........I didn't even ask him to be doing anything with my tires. When I asked why my tires were being messed with when all I wanted was an oil change, the Female owner said to me well we always do complementary tire rotation and I'm sure you were told that. At this point I'm getting pretty irritated and let them know that I did not ask anyone to touch my tires, and I shouldn't be paying for a part that is broken by their mechanic who performed a service I did not need, or ask for. The Male owner then stated fine I will take the charge off since you're whining so much about it. I waited around for 2 hours for their mechanic to fix it and never received so much as an apology from the owner, only the statement that it's better where they moved from because people aren't like they are around here. Can you believe it?! The point of the Groupon was for them to build up their customer base, but instead they lost more customers then they know. Businesses are build on word of mouth.....

Worst around, they scam you big. This place ripped me off for 3000, they advertised on craigslist as a private seller and then when you meet the person, mine guy's name is Tyler, if that is even his real name, and was told that the title was in his grandfather's name and his father owned a dealership and would do the paperwork. They wrote the wrong amount on the bill of sale, called me later for more money, in this case 1,000, and did not redo the bill of sale, which cheats the State of WA out of revenue. I contacted the Att Generals office and we a hoping that others who fell for the same scam will file a complaint with the Attorney Generals's office, as we need to show a pattern of their misdeeds. I have documented everything, from text messages promising that service was done at Mercedes at 130,000, which was never done, to all complaints filed against them and their other businesses where Michael G Chaney or Michael G Chaney Jr is the owner, the other complaints are at the BBB with their company Affordable NW Exteriors, and complaints against the dealership at buildzoom.com, so anyone else out there, please send me a message and let's stop their deception. They even violated the truth in mileage act, listing the mileage as 0.0 on the bill of sale. The Att General was very interested in this aspect. If there is anyone else out there, please call the WA ATT General's office, direct line is 206-389-2459, it will put you through to The Consumer Protection Act contact, Wency Offril, She is very interested to hear your complaints. I went up there today and lo and behold, there was another consumer who got a mini cooper, bought a service agreement, and then was told it did not cover everything, as the dealer said it would. I heard every word, even saw them at the mechanic who I had taken the car to. She told me they tried to sell her the car I got, had it for 3 days and noticed all the issues I saw and returned to, got the mini cooper and could not even make it to her house in the mini, bad transmission and computer system dead. These people said they thought that the owner was a friend of their's and Victory Lane Motors even ripped them off. So please message me with your complaints, the DMV and DOL are also investigating the dealer for their misleading and deceptive tactics, besides the fact they do not report all revenue to the DMV/DOL, or send me email at brenda.rendon@hotmail.com

$2880 for front and rear breaks , plus a master cylinder . Les Schuab did it for only $1400 and put new brake lines in. Master mechanic could not verify the cost for parts. never go there.

I purchased their top of the line wash (spending $20). First I had to wait for the attendant as he was not at the wash. Then he told me I should not have purchased that wash as he was offering a special but he told me it was too late now. I went through the wash and it didn't even clean the bird dung off my windshield that had been "desposited" there only an hour or so earlier (part of reason for getting the wash). There was dirt all over (especially the trunk area)and doors. I spoke with the attendant and he told me he couldn't send me back through or offer a refund as there was no manager or owner there. He took my name and number and I was told I would get a call the next day. I had to call several times to finally get a call back (13 days later). I was told there was nothing they were willing to do. They wouldn't let me go through the wash again or offer me a refund. I was told my only option was to talk to the owner who would hopefully call me back within 48 hours. Not holding my breath. Filed a complaint with the WA State Attorney General's Office and will take them to small claims court if not resolved. It's more about principal than the $20!!!
