Will performed an amazing job on one of our service vans that has had a history of common repair issues with this particular service van. He gave us replacement options based on the longevity of the warranty on the replacement parts. In addition, Will was very efficient in fixing the vehicle in a timely manor so my guys could be back in the van for service calls by the next day. What I like most about Will is his depth of mechanical knowledge and experience. Will is truly a mechanic's mechanic.

My mechanic’s report: • Abnormal wear on the inside tread of all 4 tires... Glad they had failed to replace the tires! It allowed us to see how messed up the alignment is. • Oil leaking from at least three places from front to back. • Brakes were not only worn, but the passenger rear was abnormally worn and documented. • AIRBAG FAULT now flashed on the panel. This was much more than just a little airbag icon. My mechanic informed me this is due to the airbag having been deployed or tampered with… if it even still had an airbag at all. Now only they will know for sure. Thank them and get back my $500, right? The owner tells Bill to inform me, SPEND IT OR LOSE IT. The car they want me to spend it on doesn't even get in til Wednesday afternoon. They knew I had to head south immediately. The one-sheet does not say “nonrefundable.” Bill seems to think an airbag is an option. It is not considered an option when it is part of a car and presented as a safety feature which the GLI proudly boasts. It might as well be a malfunctioning seatbelt at that point. The car was either fraudulently or cluelessly presented… since even after my mechanic went down there and explained it to Bill, I will let you decide which one you think it is. Not giving back my money when I never took delivery of the car and it was shown to have endless problems and safety issues… makes one go Hmmmm. Mistakes can happen. Follow me, Money back would mean they didn’t know the car was so messed up and they wanted to make good. Keeping my money means they knew fully well and refused to give back $500 because their business practices are questionable at best. Reasonable? HOW DOES THIS STORY END, JEFF? WE ALL WANT TO KNOW? Your last statement was, “TAKE ME TO COURT!” STAY TUNED!

Put in to replace the leaking radiator, they gouged me $275.00 for the part which was $100.00 anywhere else and claimed they used an OEM part on a 12 yr old truck.($400.00 overall after they tried to charge me $900.00) REALLY??? Just over two years later it was leaking and needed to be replaced again. Initially they didn't want to (past warranty)but they gave one to the Wayne's garage (who charged me $1600.00 for changing the spark plugs-they broke one and that became MY fault & cost for a questionable top end job)but Wayne's got them to give up a cheap part. 2 yrs later it's leaking AGAIN. Can't find a decent mechanic in this town who isn't out to screw you over. HELP!

They were nice, but Dis-Honest & Not Trustworthy! OMG! Look under the hood of the cars there selling. Most of there cars engines are oxidized from salt. If the engine looks as bad as it does on several of there cars, just imagine what the inside of the engine is like and especially under the car! Salt rots the whole underneath of a car and ruins the engine. They said they buy vehicles at county auctions. For instance a 1998 Chevy S10 they have for $3,995. The truck is VERY BASIC. 165,000 miles, no tilt, ripped up rubber that encases the gear shift, blew Air Conditioner on max & blew hot air, ripped up, brittle truck bed, no power anything. KBB says it's worth 2,400 if the A/C was working. They did a KBB on truck for 4,995. I had to laugh. That is Dishonest when you tweak Kelly Blue Book to your advantage. Look at the county auctions at: http://apps.lanecounty.org/fleetauction/Auction.aspx?a=9&c=1 A 1998 Dodge Neon with 36,800 total miles sold for 2,100. I don't like to be lied to. On top of it all, Brian says that it did not matter if he sold a car to me or not. That statement right there makes me feel that they do not care for there customers. You don't tell a customer that it doesn't matter if you buy from the company! We'll 2 hours after we left the dealer we bought a beautiful car, year 2000 with 102,000 miles on it for $2,650. KBB booked the car at $4,600. Do yourself a favor and stay away from all there nonsense. You will get a better car, with better mileage, and a better price! ALSO the engine does not look like it was soaked in salt water like most of there cars in there lot. I doubt this business will survive the year with there deceitful practices.

Meineke Car Care Center

4110 W 11th Ave, Eugene

I would not recommend this facility. I went there twice. The first time they rotated my tires and changed the oil. They said that there were a bunch of oil leaks and suggested a dye test. I figured no big deal, but the cost was ridiculous. When I returned, they found that the oil pan gasket was leaking. This should be a pretty obvious leak even without the dye test, and certainly not leaks all over the place. That done, I went back for another oil change and tire rotation. They couldn't rotate the tires because a lug nut was cross-threaded. I told the "mechanic" that they were the ones who rotated the tires last. Then he said it must just be fatigue of the stud. Total B.S. When I called to get it fixed, they sent me to the same mechanic and obviously I got nowhere. Never using Meineke again!
