Folks, please avoid York Tire & Auto. Being new to the area, I made the mistake of taking my car here to get inspected since they had the quickest availability. If I had bothered to look at the reviews (Google and Yelp) more carefully I would have kept looking and gone elsewhere. That was my first mistake. $50 to replace one wiper blade (they wouldn't let me do it myself), $90 to replace my license plate bulbs ($7.50 for a pack of two at Autozone, two screws each to get to the bulbs). They wanted $900 to do my rear brakes (they said shoes and drums and wheel cylinders needed to be replaced), but after calling around to other shops in town every other estimate was $400-600 worst case scenario. They also said I needed all new tires since I made the second mistake of telling them the car had just been sitting for an extended period of time. But when I took the car to a tire place last week I was told my tires looked almost new (they were, they were purchased just prior to the last inspection) and didn't need replacing, and that any flat spots in my tires from them sitting had likely worked themselves out after driving on them more. I ended up taking the car to another local shop (with no bad reviews) who changed the brakes and drums for $400 total. They also verified the tires were in good shape and that the rear wheel cylinders were fine. Bottom line, York Tire & Auto wanted over $1700 to pass the safety inspection, even though the car had largely been sitting and was even exempt for the emissions inspection since it had less than 5000 miles since last inspection. They flat out wanted to rob me. An honest shop would have said, "Hey we can't pass your inspection because the tires have flat spots from sitting, but if you drive on them more they will likely even out." With so many auto shops in this area there's no reason to take your car to a place like this where they will look for every opportunity to upsell you on things you likely won't need. Buyer beware.

Very, very pleased. Great quality work. No pressure tactics. Straight shooters. YOU are apprised of the situation and YOU decide what to do. I will never shop around for front end shops again. And I truly believe that their front end expertise carries over to their other offerings. Call them, talk to them, and work with them. You will not be disappointed. BONUS - They answer their phones! With a human!!!

It was late afternoon and it was raining outside, had an important app't to get to. Live just a few blocks away and discovered my tire was almost flat. I popped my head in the door of the service station and asked them if they could put some air in my tire. This very sarcastic young man said, we are really busy, I am going to have to say no! not a good impression when I was considering taking my car there for servicing and it would have been within walking distance. You may have been busy, but how long does it take to put air in someone's tire. Luckily I made it to a place down the street and they were more than happy to help me. Learn some manners young man! It could be you some day, needing some air in your tire.

9/13/12 Just had my 05 Tahoe in to this auto repair station and I can not say enough about how well I was treated from beginning to end. I originally made an appointment to have the truck inspected and I also was having an issue with the truck pulling to the right, so I asked to have the truck alligned. The owner, Andy Noon, told me he would check and when I went to pick the truck up, all he needed to do was to rotate the tires (NO CHARGE) I am new to the area and was a bit nervous going to a new mechanic due to an experience I recently had with my audi, but I feel as though I was treated so well, and honestly, that I will ALWAYS bring my vehicles here and I have no problem with recomending this shop to others. Very good place to buy a used or pre-owned vehicle and for any type of auto repair!

We received an estimate from another garage. THe other garage indicated we needed well over a thousand dollars of repairs and new parts. We took it to Don's Performance Corner. $83.41 to be looked at and told the other garage was way out of line. Nearly everything the other garage said was false. Thank you Don & Cindy Reem and the rest of the staff!

I'm not much of a typer, to sum the service up A++ overal. Knowledge about products was great. Not that long of wait and very professional.

I stopped by with slow leak nail in tire. They were extremely busy near end of day and they still found time to fix tire and send me on my way. This has been our and our daughters go to garage for years. They are always so friendly and their prices are very hard to match anywhere I have been in my many years of car repair bills. I trust their honesty in what needs done and what can wait and that is a big relief because too many garages try to fix things that do not really need to be done just to make a buck. I will be dropping off our van for inspection very soon.

service team excellent in particular a young man named Terry front desk girl named mercedes was rude, reprimanded young man in front of customer for agreeing to do detail too near closing poor attitude.

bait and switch before I got there and got a flat 5 days later. It was discovered they installed the tire backwards, didn't seal it properly, stripped a lug nut and didn't tighten the cap on another so it's now missing. Total inconvenience and hassle. Not worth it and was too pricey to begin with. Will never go back.
