Blockermotors LLC 2361 Dutch Fork Rd Chapin SC 29036 (803) 600-6126 EST: 2001 List of issues I found the following issues that were not identified 1) Car was idling erratic and backing on deceleration 2) Choke was stuck in closed position 3) Parking/emergency brake did not work 4) Brakes not stopping car smoothly, had to apply a lot of pressure and car would nose dive before stopping 100% 5) 1/2 of drivers seat belt was missing 6) Damage on drivers door was not documented 7) Transmission automatic kickdown/passing gear not working (needed adjustment) 8) Front parking lights were not working (wiring problem) 9) Courtesy map light not working properly (wiring and switch problem) 10) Cigarette lighter not working (lighter needs to be replaced) 11) Fuel gauge not accurate (car ran out of gas on the road, gauge read 1/4 tank left) 12) Rubber gaskets missing from skirts (one skirt fell off the car and had to be replaced, rubber gaskets help to hold skirts in place) 13) Tachometer was very noisy and was replaced with a used tachometer 14) Car would run on the hot side of the gauge which indicates there would be more of a problem in summer months 15) Front A-arm busing are dry rotted and need to be replaced 16) There are small cracks in the paint on the rear panel (by tail lights and exhaust), these cracks in the paint are due to paint puddling in these areas when the car was painted.

A standard oil change is very competitive priced. $368 to change a fuel filter and water separation filter is over the top. Dr. Filter has those two, as a pair, listed at $79, then tac on labor, doesn't seem to be $368. When an oil change is $150 ish. That pricing is a bit opportunistic. Their electronic work order process approval is great.

Not sure all fluids were mentioned in the report clearly and no mention of rust. Possible exhaust leak and was told to bring to muffler shop. Rear tires and two bent rims ( third party repair) and they would need to hold car for 3 days or more to complete. suggested they that I pick up car, then they could coordinate rim repair and tire install for one day in future when tires arrived and rim guy had time. Should be one day job if coordinated. Answer: “We don’t work like that. I would need to leave car. Also tires hard to find??? “. So I picked up car, arranged for rims to be repaired by another shop and another shop had ordered and received tires and already made an appointment for the install. They will also evaluate and repair exhaust and evaluate corrosion. Except for time working on car I can keep and use my car. Person at check out needs to understand all comments made on invoice and go through with customer. Stop use of “technician has been dispatched” as it only means will get to it when we get to it. I like supporting the Auto Shop, but I think you still don’t have people in place to run larger business. Much better when you talked with owners on drop off and pick up. So now I need to consider another garage to service my vehicles as I can’t leave my car for days sitting in a parking lot when I can be driving. Also lots of cars sitting around a shop is not a good look for potential customers.
