Auto repair service near Murrells Inlet, SC

Dear RVers! Please stay away from this company! They are dishonest people! We had a horrible experience. Would give this company zero stars if I could. We were in Myrtle beach KOA campground Monday till Sunday. I needed to replace pads in my brakes in RV. So I called ABC mobile and auto repair company and asked if they could fix my brakes. They said that they can, and I happily made and appointment for Wednesday. I made sure we have an extra time, in case they will need to order some parts. I waited for them the whole Wednesday, but they didn't show up. When we called, they said that technician got stuck on another job. Thursday they didn't come either. At the end of Thursday, when we called, they said that they will come for sure Friday 8am. 10:05 they still didn't come and my husband gave them a call.. they said that someone will come out shortly. Around 10:30 am 2 guys di show up. They removed both front wheels, said that we need new pads. So I asked them if they have pads with them , they said no, and no one has it today, they will have to order it, a d maybe they will be able to change it either Saturday or Sunday. Then they put our wheels back and said that the have to pay them $400 for the service. I was shocked! I said that I will pay as soon as my brakes will be fixed. When they realized that I am not paying them until they will finish their job, they started calling someone. 10 min later another guy(probably owner), showed up. He started screaming at me and told me that since I refuse to pay, he is calling police and they will arrest me :) And he did! 16 min later police arrived. 3 cars! Police officer first spoke to the guys from ABC repair company and the approached us. They asked me to tell them the while story. Also they asked if I was notified that regardless of if they will do the job or now, I ill have to pay a service call fee. I said that I never heard about it. After that police officers disappeared. 15 min later they came back with Myrtle beach KOA campground manager. This lady was very rude, saying, that since I don't want to pay to this repair company, I have to leave her campground immediately. If within hours we will not leave the campground, we will get arrested, and KOA will not reimburse us for the rest of the stay, and on top of the we cannot come back to this park for 1 year. When I asked police officers if that's legal, they said that it is private property and they don't have any jurisdiction here. If they want to kick us out, police cannot stop them. So bottom line, not only we didn't get our brakes fixed, we also lost $250, which paid till Sunday, and we had to find another park to stay for a weekend and pay for the days we already paid. We are RVing for more then 10 years, and never had such experience before. PLEASE, for your own sake, do t even get close to this company, don't let them touch your RV!

I was beyond impressed with AP Transmissions! My transmission completely blew while on vacation and had to extend our stay. We called around to local garages and were recommended to tow our car to AP Transmission for repair. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They took the time to explain what repairs were needed so we understand exactly what happened and what needed replaced. They provided a fair quote and didn't try to swindle more money given the situation and our need to get repaired quickly. They actually went out of their way to keep costs down without ever sacrificing the quality of the repair. They provided an accurate date of completion and kept us updated as they worked through the transmission rebuild. We were able to check out of our hotel and return the rental car as scheduled because of how well they communicated the timeline. We were able to drive the 10.5 hours back home without any issues. AP Transmissions even called the next day to make sure we arrived safely and were happy with their work. I can't say enough nice things about how impressed I am with this garage. They are very knowledgeable and genuinely good ,honest people. How they treated us says so much about their character and how they run their business. Although I don't wish anyone has the issues we did, I would absolutely recommend this garage if they do!

MY girlfriend found Rott's by reading reviews. I have a 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera. I lived in Charlotte NC all my life , retired and moved to Murrels Inlet. There is no one that can work on a Porsche here. I have tried and tried with poor results, untill I found Rotts in murrels Inlet). I had the same owner in Charlotte at touring Car that only serviced my Porsche for 30 years. Now I have moved to Murrels Inlet, no one will ever touch my Porsche again but Wane Rott! Gary and everyone else at C&G are awesome! They are professional and friendly. I brought my van somewhere else a few years ago and they estimated the cost to fix the air conditioner over $1000. C&G did it for less than $400 and it has been working for a few years now. I trust them completely.

This lady (Denise) is honest as the day is long. We were on vacation again in Myrtle Beach. Had leaking transmission fluid due to a broken axle support piece. Denise gave us an honest price to fix it, and even gave two other options for re-sale. Ultimately we traded the car same day to a dealership and bought a new car. If I had gone to her one day earlier, she would have performed the repair work. But the kids had to get back to school, and we were considering a new car purchase for our decade old mini-van anyway. Ancot has an impeccable reputation because they do honest work, for fair market prices. Even he oil change price was fair, which I heard her give to another local customer. That is what people want, and you should go to Ancot if you need any of the services they perform. Thank you Denise.

I came into Affordable Automobiles because of the half price oil change special I saw online. I "liked" their Facebook page and went in and got the oil change (standard, nothing super fancy) and paid lower than I have ever paid for an oil change. Everyone was very nice and I was only there for 15 minutes at the most. Very comfortable lobby and Ed offered me a really low quote on tires before I left. I guess they just started doing tire service but they are already beating their competition.

After purchasing my 99 land rover I ran it dry of coolant.. Subsequently blowing a head gasket. I was quoted 3 grand to fix it ...along with suspension issues. Thank goodness a friend referred me to Eurotech. I was quoted a much better price and the job was completed earlier than planned. The mechanic also noticed some coolant hose issues that probably saved me another trip to the shop. Thank u guys so much. JTE

While visting Myrtle Beach I got into a accident. I called Best Choice Body Shop to come to my kocation to pick up my wrecked vehicle. They Towed it back to the shop and delt with the insurance company to get my car fixed and back on the road quick very good work guys the repair and paint looks very good can't even tell my car was in a accident. Best affordable service in town. I couldn't believe how cheap it was. The service was great! Fast, friendly, family atmosphere. I definitely recommend this garage.

I have a 2012 Toyota Camry, I went to my mechanic to get a vibration solved, in which he referred me to Tad Transmission due to an issue with my transmission. I called before I arrived and he was able to fit me into his schedule the same day. This is the only thing good about this experience besides his location being impeccable but his services being fruitful of arrogance. When I walked into his shop I had my mask on for safety precautions and obeying the law; Tad told me, "Ah you can take that off" and decided to discuss how he is not being played by the government. Tad looked at my motor and continued to rev up the motor and tell me I had a broken motor mount. He further went to say that this is what the problem is. Afterwards, he continued to downgrade me as a person for asking questions and trying to understand what he was talking about. Tad then decided his "computer" which was a SOLUS Ultra by Snap On could solve the problem. He stated, "If it works I will charge you $100 and if it doesn't I will charge you $50." I may not know much about a vehicle, but I do have common sense that a computer will not fix a "broken motor mount". Keep in mind I went to this guy over a transmission problem. Tad further discussed how I called him a liar for not believing this device would fix my car and that if I come back Monday it will cost $150 and Tuesday it would be $200. Tad was unpleasant, unprofessional and a disgrace to all mechanics. If you want to get ripped off, degraded, and be at the mercy of this guy then he is the right one for you. If you actually have ANY car problems TAD IS NOT THE MAN FOR THE JOB.

I am a tourist to Myrtle Beach from Indiana, I drove my 2001 Chrysler Town & Country mini van down. About 5 miles from our resort the transmission went out on me. I went with A&A Transmission because I was qouted a price of $1300 to rebuild the tranny. The people were friendly and the turnaround time on the tranny was good. That however is where the good experience ends. After getting the call that the van was fixed I went into the shop to pick it up and was told that the bill came out to $1989. That is almost $700 more than I was quoted!!! So I paid the money and went to open the hatch to put some stuff in there and the back hatch didn't work. I informed them that the door that worked previously doesn't work now. They told me that it worked for them as they had it opened in the shop. So the good turnaround time wasn't so good when I had to leave the van in the shop for yet another night (costing me another night of rental car fees.) The next day they call me and tell me they can fix the door that they broke for $330!!!!!!! I could not aford the money to fix the door because the tranny already cost me way more than I was quoted. So now I'm out an extra $700 and have a broken door!! Talk about taking advantage of out of towners.

I am pursuing a lawsuit against this dealership because they have cheated me. The owner sets you up with a finance company so he can go ahead and get his money an leave you with bad car that you will have to repair and keep paying the finance company.

On July 19th 2015 I Bought a 1998 Corvette from Socastee Auto Dealer and owner Dennis Drummond. I paid $3800.00 down payment, financed the total left with Credit acceptance.September 2nd Dealer had no Title and couldn't get tag so he gave me a new notification of sale. As so for the month of Oct. and Nov.By this time Credit Acceptance informed me I was not responsible for payments. Total payments I paid in was $1021.00. On December 5th I received a letter by mail from Credit acceptance saying that my account had been closed on Dec.1 st because Dealer Dennis Drummond had violated the title Transfer policy.My contract and check in my name for payments was sent to the dealer and I was told to contact the Dealer.Was out of Town working, On Dec. 11th I went in office Dealer suggested to resign paper work I decided after 6 months of trips and all the aggravation of him not having title or tags,I did not want to redo contract.I asked him just to refund my down payment of $3800.00 and return my payment check from Credit acceptance of $1021.00. He agreed and said he needed the car for inspection because he had to go to the borrower. I was not driving the car at the time. On Dec 14th at 10:30 he came to my wife's work and picked the car up and said he would have money back by wed. afternoon. I have called everyday on his cell and in office, left messages many times. He will not call me back and the say he is not at work today in office.

Called and setup an appointment for 9:30 the next morning to have power steering lines replaced. Had advised them that we had to leave on a trip the following morning. On date of appointment (7/27/15) Charles (owner) called at 8:12 am stating that no one would be coming that maybe he could make it that afternoon or maybe the next day. So unless you can wait until some future date DON'T USE THIS SERVICE.
