The guys at Knoxville Ultimate Automotive do fantastic work. They are honest about which repairs need to be done and which can wait. They never try to up sell useless services or anything your vehicle does not need. The Owner is ASE Master certified Technician and was among one of the top Honda technicians when he worked at the dealership. I would trust them to work on any of my cars and I recommend them to all my friends who have a Honda, Acura , Lexus, or Toyota. They even offer a free pre purchase inspection (by appointment) which is almost unheard of these days. Save the money and the hassle of the dealership and go see Ken and Steve. you wont be disappointed.

I have been to this shop several times with two different vehicles. A 99 Nissan Pathfinder and a 92 Ford F150. The employees here are professional and always happy to explain anything you need them to. They have always been upfront about cost, and they are won't try to force you into work you don't need. People who are worried that they will get up sold on something they do not need should have no fear with this place. They do their best to get the work done quickly as not to leave you without your vehicle long. Obviously this varies based on what you are having done, but like the issue with price, they will let you know ahead of time so that you can plan accordingly. The longest I went was one week, but I was having a laundry list of stuff done to the F150. It is a family truck that sat for years without use. If issues arise during your cars stay they will inform you promptly. Tipton's Garage provided us with excellent service!! They not only fixed my AC (and ACTUALLY fixed it) for a fair price, but they also did a quick check over to ensure vehicle safety! Need a quality repair shop? Fred and his sons, are top shelf mechanics. I have know Fred for over 25 years, and from my point of view, I wouldn't let anyone else work on my vehicle. Prices are always disclosed upfront, and they always try to save me money on the parts costs. They have worked on my vehicles numerous times, and I have never had a bad experience. I needed to have a piston removed from a connecting rod and a new piston put on. I had the parts and just needed someone to do the work. I called late on a Saturday and Jim (the owner) said he would wait for me to get there (which he did, he stayed at least 30 minutes late trying to help me). Once he started to look at what I had, he noticed that the connecting rod was bent (he was accurate, it was bent), he got on the phone and started calling around to locate another one. He found one at 1/3 the price that I could find one (he found it for $35.00 which included shipping I only found it for $116.00 which did not include shipping) and said he could have it delivered by Monday (which it was delivered by). He called me as soon as it was delivered and as soon as I got there with the other parts, he didn't make me wait, he put it together. When he told me the balance, it was for the part ONLY, he didn't charge me a dime for putting it together for me! When I reached into my purse to grab my checkbook, I realized it was missing, so I offered to pay with a debit card or credit card. Unfortunately, they don't accept them there, however, they didn't want to hold me up, so if you can believe this, in this day and age, they sent me on my way WITH the completed part and told me to mail them a check!!!! Not only did I find them to be honest, accurate, and affordable, I found them to be some of the friendliest folks around. While I waited for the part to be fixed, Jim had Biscut (his hound) show me her tricks (her Nascar trick was my favorite). I also had the pleasure of meeting Jim's father in-law (a real charmer). They have photos on the wall of some of the race cars that Jim has raced over the years (I found them interesting). These guys know their stuff, they have raced high performance cars for years and STILL do. Anything you need done, these guys are capable. We purchased an Aztek from the owner of Neal's. He was NOT TRUTHFUL and forthcoming in all that was wrong with the car. The day after purchasing it from him, cash deal, we found out that it has MAJOR transmission problems along with some other things that add up to a lot of money. My son-in-law is in the Marines and he and my daughter were looking for a safe dependable vehicle for her and their three children. This, Neal, runs an auto garage and HAD to be aware of all the things that were wrong with the car before he sold it to them. My son-in-law and daughter live on military salary which is not much, and yet this jerk took advantage of them and their desperate need for a car. He had told them even that the car in question had been his wifes daily driver. This guy was only interested in the money. He has no conscience, or he would NOT be able to deceive people in this way. The car has been in the shop since two days after purchase, and the costs to repair are really adding up. So far well over $1,500 and counting. DO NOT TRUST this guy!!!!! They really treat you like family!!! Fair and honest. Went out of their way to help us by providing roadside assistance and trying to get us on our way. They even let us hookup to water and power and stay in the RV at their shop while they made the repairs (and fed us supper). After we were on the road and had more mechanical breakdowns, they coached us via phone until we made it to our destination. I highly recommend this family owned business. They took a true interest in our safety and travel plans. Thank you so much to all the staff at Vickers!!
