my car a/c was not working as it should be and i was about to buy a freon booster at oreillys but then i decided to get it checked out because i did not want to make the situation worse since putting to much or not to much can affect the cooling. oh and btw the check is free. well so it was determined that it had low freon. got her filled up and I was even given some advice on how to care for my a/c since its a sports car.I would really reccomend anyone to come here. And just to let you know i went to CHICOS 4 months ago and it had bad customer service, everything was out of order and their knowledge on car ac was bad because at that time i thought my expansion valve was bad so i asked for pricing and they charge a lot and the guy told me he that it would not be guaranteed to be put on right since my car was a tricky car and that in the process of puting it on it could be broken.

Good job on transmission rebuilt. Was about 400 cheaper than any other place in labor. Didn't take forever

Worst experience!!!!! I had to take the car 3 times, charged me an arm and a leg. The owner called me a liar and a fool. They messed up my dashboard and the owner blamed it on me. They tried to explain to me that all the customers wanted to take advantage of them and that…. I quote “he couldn’t tell them the truth because they wouldn’t believe him” horrible work and service, not even with all the religious things they have all over the place could they be at least courteous. Don’t go and please do not recommend it!!!!!!I could go on and on but they are not worth it!

Since friday nite the owner Modesto Tijerina took my car and informed me that a used one cost 75.00 and his work is 75.00. Informed him that Brownsville U Pull It has that same cable for 25.00 and he rudely informed me that he can cancel the part and I get him for him. (Hello he has my un moveable car!) Then he promised he will have my car ready for today 6/27/2012 and called in the morning and was informed that he didn't inform to fix the car to another mechanic.Called 3 hrs later and left msgs and he never called back to inform me what the progress is with the part or the fixture of the car. He now said that the part he ordered it in Hidalgo and is waiting for them to send it to his buissness. God!!! I am regretting of sending my car to be fixed with them. He is soo freaking expensive and rude!!! Just gonna let him finish fixing my car and NEVER again will i ever go to his stupid buissness!

I'm getting ready to call Cantu again for more work on my 1989 bronco II. My wife and I bought this vehicle to tow behind our camper. We have owned it for 2 years. The first day I had it I took it to Cantu's for clutch, pressure plate and steering issues. It has been an ongoing project, they have since replaced the entire front axle, transfer case, differentials, and changed the gearing. They are always glad to see me and get me in and out in a timely manner. I have had them do my mechanic work for about 40 years. They are very fair on pricing and they are just good people. I would recommend anyone needing mechanic work to go to Cantu's.

new to harlingen and by a stroke of luck and some devine intervention I found Kips for my maintenance needs and was pleasantly referred to Kips brother station next door for mechanich work. Though I have not been to the mechanich portion of the two business establishment the impression made by Kips staff left me with a good impression and will most definitively return for my continued needs on my two vehicles.

Pulling a travel trailer from Indiana my F350 stopped running. Had towed to Boggus Ford as I thought my only chance of good reliable service was at a dealership. I asked Ben (service writer) for an all inclusive quote to get me back to Indiana. Ben called me back stating high volume oil pump, #1 and #3 injectors were out. Was told truck would be done in 2 days. After 2 days and no communication from Ben I called and was told truck was taken on a test drive and now needed #7 injector. After another day went by with no communication I called Paul (service manager) who stated truck needed the ficm wiring harness due to bent pins caused by technician error. I was to pay for this labor and parts. After no communication I called Paul again and was told transmission was out. I would now have to pay for a used transmission. The bill went from 3,088.00 to over 6,000.00. All due to lack of proper training and just throwing parts at a problem without proper diagnosis. I then recieved an email stating Boggus was no longer working on my truck after I refused the used transmission. Its amazing how a pump, 3 injectors, a wiring harness and a transmission can all go out at the same time. I had to rent a car to get back to Indiana to be with my terminally Ill Mother and to this writing am still without a truck. Please avoid doing business of any kind with this dealership as they truely live up to their name. They claim to "help" and assist and pretend to know what they are doing but this service and dealership has NO leadership nor knowledge and technician moral is very, very low. There are other Ford dealerships in the area, do yourself a favor and use one of the others.

Maybe they know how to rebuild a alternator or starter, but they don't know how to work on aftermarket temperature gauges. I called and asked and they said they did know how to work on gauges. I had two gauges previously installed and they were not working. Took my truck in and they told me they were broken and needed to get replaced according to their amp meter. They charged me 50 bucks for nothing. Next took my truck to a person with no experience with electrical and checked my fuses first. And that was the problem a blown fuse and replaced it for 1 dollar. And he charged me nothing. Don't take your vehicle to this place if it is not an alternator or starter problem. Oh, and they talk to you like they know what they are doing but they are second guessing the problem! Hope this helps.
