Auto repair service near Hutchins, TX

I've been taking my cars to Northrich Automotive for almost 5 years now. The most recent time my car was up for replacing timing belt and water pump. I was dealing with Todd. He is a nice guy, very respectfull and he also answered all of my questions I've had about this service. Since my office was located few miles away, one of their employees took me to work. My car was ready by the time I got off work. No surprises. Payed as much as we agreed.

Don't even waste your time if you want a mechanic who will actually call you back. I called on Tuesday to schedule him to come out on Friday at which time he told me would be no problem since he had availability on Friday. He asked ME to call him back Thursday to confirm, which I thought a bit odd since normally the business offers to call the CUSTOMER back to confirm, but I went along with it. I called him on Thursday and nothing. He's also listed on Angie's List who I plan to email next. A business who won't call a customer back should not be on Angie's List. It frustrates me when small business owners do this kind of thing because quite frankly I'd rather support them than some huge conglomerate however, this tends to make me use someone I know I can count on...a conglomerate.

I'm not sure what the previous person experienced but Joe is a great guy! As a shop owner, he sometimes have to tell the customer what he/she may not want to hear. He works hard to keep cost low for his customers. His employees, Trish, Mike, Tony and Anthony all work really hard as well. They know who you are and treat you like family. It's certainly the place where everybody knows your name. I've been getting my car serviced at German Motor Works for the past 3 years' and only paid too much once. The reason for that mishap was that I decided to bring my car elsewhere because of convenience. Needless to say, I've never done that again. I plan to get my car serviced with Joe as long as I continue to own this car. I bought a used sports car from this place which I had thought was in good condition. I thought I had done enough research but I was wrong. I gave them my jeep wrangler which had a new engine and they gave me 1000 dollars for a trade in. I drove it home and the car sat for 2 days while I was at work and when I returned home the car went downhill FAST. I tried to call la motorcars and they just blew me off, acting like it was my fault. I decided to take it to a dealership to get it looked at because it became undrivable, smoking all over the place, after only a few days. The dealership said the engine was shot and clearly happened a long time ago. I emailed him and he called me a typical American that was looking for a handout and he would send me 1000 to help out because he felt sorry for me. The engine is going to cost 8000 so I thought this was crazy. These people are not good people and take advantage of customers that may not be as knowledgable about cars. Stay far away from this place!!!!

My new car which was purchased from Town North Mazda and only has 7000 miles on it has a bald tire from a pull to the right both of which I am told are normal. I picked up the car 3 days later and my clutch was burned up. I had it towed back immediately and they stated they did nothing to my car. The cars clutch was fine when we dropped it off. I have left messages with the GM and no response as well as Mazda USA. I would definetly not recommend this dealership or service department.

I took my corolla in for a low speed fender bender. Got three estimates all quoted about one week of repair. Toyota of Richard has my car for four weeks. Have to ask the redo the dent and paint due to poor work quality. It took another three days. The pin stripes are peeling off now. Dont take your car here. Poor service also.

Here's a little heads up..... My car broke down in the drive way of this shop when I went to get my tire fixed. I was charged $700 for a repair on the computer that I later learned I could have COMPLETELY REPLACED for $330 The next day on my way home from work the check engine light came on. Surprisingly he told me what was wrong before he ever even popped the hood? Psychic or sabotage??? Hmmmmmm I wonder. For this new problem that mysteriously appeared the very next time that I drove it after he worked on it, I was quoted a price of $150, for a part that we purchased from Autozone for $8.99, and was replaced in about 15 minutes.....The car left the drive way after over $700 in repairs, and died in the next door neighbors driveway the next day. We were offered no warranty on the work that Jimmy did, we didn't even receive a receipt. If you break down in Ennis Texas PLEASE PLEASE RUN don't walk RUN as fast and as far as you can in the other direction from this man and his shop so that you don't get taken the way we did. I had only minor repair issues with this vehicle prior to this, and would NEVER have used anyone except my regular mechanic work on it except he was out of town when this happened. I have never had an experience of taking a car to a mechanic and it come back in WORSE condition than when we sent it in. I honestly 100% believe that this man not only totally me on the repair, but also tamper with my car thinking I would be a sucker and bring it back to him to do the repair thereby putting the safety of me my husband and our six small grandchildren at risk. RUN!!RUN!! RUN!!! anywhere but here I wouldn;'t take my granddaughters Barbie car in to this guy to get fixed.

There were a few problems in getting the job completed this time, which has not happen in the past. However, the car is running fine at this time.
