So, this review is going to be a long one because it is a long story. I want people to know though. I took my car to get a State Inspection and an oil change. I had never been there before, but I though I would try it. Well, after waiting a normal amount of time I am told that my car needs two things to pass inspection. A transmission mount and a license plate bulb. I was told the transmission mount was broken, but that they did not have one. So, he said that he would call their warehouses to find one. He was unable to find one and said it would have to be ordered, so I told him I would try to find one myself and call him back if I couldn't. Well, I couldn't find it either except by ordering, so I just called him and told him to order it. This all happened on a Saturday. He promised me that they would have the part by Monday, so I said I would be there Wednesday morning to have the repair done. So, I drive up there Wednesday and walk in to get it repaired. I am then told that they have not received the part yet and that I will receive a call when they do. So, as I'm getting ready to leave I run into the man who I talked with Saturday. He then checks and tells me that what happened was they ordered the part, but the warehouse didn't do their job and order it. He says they might have it tomorrow. So, Saturday (a week later) I call them again and am told that they still don't have it. This time they tell me the warehouse dropped the ball and didn't inform them that the part wasn't available in the aftermarket world and that it would have to be ordered from the dealer. He then promises me that it is verified they will have it Tuesday and to bring in my car Wednesday ( a week and a half later from the first visit). So, I go in Wednesday (today) and they go ahead and pull it in and put it on a lift. I am then told that they received the wrong part. My car is a manual transmission, but they had received a mount for an automatic transmission. He tells me though that he ordered a backup with the dealership just in case this happened, but he won't have it until this afternoon. So, I have left my car their with them and await a phone call saying it is ready to go. I will update on what happens. So, as far as I'm concerned this is beyond unacceptable. Today is strike three. I'm extremely patient and had just wrote this off as an odd one time incident, but not now. This place seems incompetent and unable to simply obtain a part. The only reason I'm still having them do it is to get done today. If I get it done somewhere else they'll have to order it as well and there is no telling how that will go. Couldn't go worse than this though. So, if they don't get it fixed today, they can just forget and I'll go through the headache of taking it somewhere else. Either way, I'm never going back to Meineke. NEVER! I ALSO GIVE YOU A WARNING! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

This man is a running a poor business that in my opinion did a clear bait and switch I made reservations through Uhaul and was given a clear cost of 19.95 per day and 55 cents a mile I refused additional insurance in that I was covered under my personal insurance. When I picked up the rental I was not informed of having to use their insurance to rent or that their rate was different from that given to me by Uhaul however when I returned the truck the rate I was charged for mileage was 69 cents a mile and I was charged for additional insurance coverage so a bill that was quoted as 55 for an estimated fifty miles worth of use was now 83 dollars. When I disputed the charge I was told that the person needed to correct it was not available and that he would call me upon his arrival to the store later that day which never occurred. I have had to file a dispute with Uhaul and I hope that this gets corrected however I will never even buy a piece of gum from this man or facility because I will not have any confidence in his faithfulness as a business owner. It is not ok to not be upfront about the cost of your product and to sell it as one thing then charge another after the fact. If I could give a negative rating I would however to post this review it required me to give it at least one star

I have spent thousands of dollars with this business. I spent $2,700 on my pickup. had intake gaskets installed. ran fine going back and forth to the pharmacy, grocery store etc. The first time I ran it up to highway speed the lifters started rattling on the James River bridge, no where to pull over. When I got the truck back, the owner opened the hood, as I followed him back in the service area he told the service writer to send someone down to Haley Ford and get the right oil filter for my truck that had only 90,000 miles on it. When they drained the fresh new oil it looked like a 1970's metal flake paint job......I changed the oil in it for 10 years until I wasn't physically able to...… They pretty much said sorry about your luck. they are the only people I trusted to even touch my vehicle.....I raised 3 children as a Class A Mack truck mechanic. I realize that people make mistakes, but should stand behind them....

got myself a decent car being a used car there were a few minor issues which trey and his team were happy to help with not sure what fees the previous poster is talking about they do have a 1 time fee of 150$ which for me they waived and they do not finance so there is no kind of intrest. so me personaly I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good used car buying experience..

Went in asking for quote on replacing front struts. They said I would have to provide VIN to find parts. (I could find it online without it). Was able to quote $2000.00. My regular mechanic quoted $700.00 for the job. I tried them because my regular mechanic was unable to meet my timeline needed. When I questioned their quote they told me I may need all struts replaced. How are they able to know that when I ask for the front to be replaced. I had been a customer for years but had several bad experiences in the last few visits. Females beware! They try to make you get unnecessary repairs.

My husband took our Mercedes in because the headlights were going out while driving at night. We took it in for repair. We were told that the diagnostics said the alternator needed to be replaced. After paying a bill for 495.00, the car was still doing the same thing the next day. We took our car back to get the problem corrected. In the mean time, my husband called a local Mercedes repair shop to inquire about the headlights and they told him that most likely a module needed to be replaced. (No mention of the alternator at all). Low and behold, when we called Buddy South back, Scott, the manager told me that they THOUGHT the problem was the alternator but now they THINK it is a switch and we needed to fork over another $520 dollars. When I asked why both problems did not show up when they did the diagnostics, he said they only checked for problems with the alternator. (But the diagnostics should have been to detect the problems no matter what was causing the problem).I asked Scott if they checked to make sure that the problem was fixed after they replaced the alternator and he said he could not duplicate the problem. However, they were able to duplicate the problem the second time around. All they had to do was let the car run with the headlights on for 10 minutes and "voila". I don't think they tried the first time around, because they ASSUMED the alternator was the problem. Basically, if you have a foreign car, don't let BUDDY SOUTH guess at your car problems....It will cost you dearly. I was forced to give them one star but I would never recommend this shop to any one.....unless I really wanted to see them spend unnecessary money. I wouldn't wish that on any one.

Please DO NOT take your vehicle here...at any location!!! This business did not properly fix my vehicle to the point that when I picked it up (4 days later), it smelled of gasoline so bad that it prompted me to call them immediately to see if this was normal. I was advised that it was not normal, and to bring the vehicle back. I elected to take it back the next morning due to being almost home at the time. The next morning, my check engine came on, as well as engine malfunction light. The car was shaking so bad and would not excel - to put it frankly, it was not driveable. I called them immediately and asked if they could have it towed, in which I was told that they do not have a towing service. I asked if I get it towed could I be reimbursed for the towing charge due to it being a direct result of what they already did to the vehicle. The lady stated, "If we deem it is our fault, then sure I would be happy to reimburse you". Needless to say, they have refused to pay the $100 towing bill that I had to fork out due to the error on their part. They replied with, "We do not have a towing policy in place, and will not pay for any towing". Then went on to say, "We replaced two coils at no charge to you". Yes, that is the least you could do because the coils would NOT have been replaced if you didn't screw up the car when you originally "supposedly" replaced the valve cover gasket. Not only did I have to pay $100, but I also had to pay $760 to have the valve cover gasket changed, along with the spark plugs, AND they kept my car for a WEEK! Poor customer service, to say the least. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE...THEY WILL END UP SCREWING YOU OVER! If you want to keep your car in good working order, AVOID this business!!
