Martin Way Shell

4542 Martin Way E, Olympia

My pregnant fiancé and I stopped here on a return trip from Seattle to Vancouver on July 25th 2012. I began filling our car and she got out to throw away some garbage when gas sprayed all over us and our vehicle (inside and out) when a defective main gas hose burst (the line that feeds from the pump to the car). David Song (the owner) refused to compensate us for anything. He now has offered (a month later) to refund (per station supervisor) the gas spilled but nothing else. This could have been a deadly situation if it weren’t for the quick actions of me and another customer. The attendant and supervisor had no idea what to do after we pushed the emergency stop and there only real concern was to get the other pumps at the station working. I would recommend other Shell stations but I have nothing but a bad experience from David and his staff.
