I took my car in for a fuel pump problem. The battery was also in need of a charge. They told me the battery was so dead that it could not even be jump started. I have driving for over 50 years, so I knew this was total nonsense. They also quoted me a price to replace the fuel pump that was $200 more than D&L Automotive, so I jump started the car without a problem and rushed off to get it fixed by someone I knew would not rip me off. I had the battery tested and it was OK and just needed a recharge.

All West Coat Auto Wrecking is a sad excuse for a business. I purchased a cylinder head that was not machinable in June 2012. I called them to have them pick the part up and verify the cylinder head I purchased was unmachinable because it was already machined too thin in the past. I had a note from the machinist, the original reciept and the used cylinder head purchased near the door awaiting pickup for 4 months without even a call. It was as if they had not even told any driver I needed to return the cylinder head. I called again and a very RUDE customer service representative assured me he would put in a note to their driver. ANOTHER nearly 2 MONTHS go by without a word. This time the representative (again rude) would not allow me to speak with a manager and abruptly hung up once asked to have the manager call me back. I CALLED THEM back later that day and spoke with the manager whom after all this time would not take back the JUNK PARTS they sold me 6 MONTHS prior. A warning to ALL those considering buying parts from these fibbers, they sell JUNK and WILL NOT return/pick up parts as promised!

This is my 4th time here 1st time over 3yrs ago and only come here ever since. They are amazing, go above and, beyond, & have outstanding customer service. 2xs He lent me a vehicle to commute to with with until my was finished. He came & towed my car when I was unable to get it there. J & H is always there for my car emergencies & my last minute needs. Grateful & appreciative for everything John & his caring crew does. Superior work for more than reasonable prices, all said things are why I will continue to only come her for any or all my car repair needs.

I recently got a 100K service done on my Chevy. I could not have been more pleased with the quality of work that was done and the great customer service that was given. I've never been to a mechanic prior to here, that showed some much care and appreciation for the work they do. Replaced oxygen sensor on 1997 Acura 3.5RL within hours at HALF the quoted price of the Dealer in Fife. OBC diagnostic was FREE (vs. dealer $120) so I scheduled replacement the next day. Not the prettiest place, but does excellent work and explains / shows old parts to you. Thanks, Mike N.

Here is my truth regarding the Aamco in Olympia, WA. About 4 months ago, I did an AmazonLocal coupon special for brakes on a 2001 truck. Now this special says they will replace the pads and turn the rotors for under $59.00. * $59 ($471 value) for a brake service package * Package includes front or rear brake pads, resurfacing of rotors, and brake flush * Keep your car in safe condition * Certified technicians * Latest diagnostic technology Sound too good to be true, it was. Upon inspection, Aamco reported that new calipers were required, along with new drums. While I argued against replacing unnecessary part, and stated only replace them if needed, in the end they replaced EVERYTHING possible. My $59 package, worth $471 cost me $443.03 total. Of course I could not get old calipers, they said were core. While arguing with the person on the phone, he insisted they do not make much on parts. On checking on the parts from ORiely autoparts, they made $229 on the parts. Now here is where the story gets interesting. Last month, I had a car my 16 year old daughter was to use that had a brake problem, and I wanted to use these dang coupons because I am a frugal/cheap person. So this time, before taking the car to Aamco, I had a brake inspection done by two other shops, Walt's and Les Scwab. They both inspected and recommended a rear drum brake job, drums,cyclinder, and said the master cylinder needed replacing, both said the front brakes were fine. They both were in agreement on the work that needed to be done. I knew I would have pay extra for the master cylinder, but I was prepared for that. After Aamco inspected my car, they stated both front and back need new calipers, rotors/drums , master cylinder and even added that the brake booster was bad (another $250 item + 1.4 labor), that was totally unnecessary. My pregnant fiancé and I stopped here on a return trip from Seattle to Vancouver on July 25th 2012. I began filling our car and she got out to throw away some garbage when gas sprayed all over us and our vehicle (inside and out) when a defective main gas hose burst (the line that feeds from the pump to the car). David Song (the owner) refused to compensate us for anything. He now has offered (a month later) to refund (per station supervisor) the gas spilled but nothing else. This could have been a deadly situation if it weren’t for the quick actions of me and another customer. The attendant and supervisor had no idea what to do after we pushed the emergency stop and there only real concern was to get the other pumps at the station working. I would recommend other Shell stations but I have nothing but a bad experience from David and his staff.
