the person was very understanding to my inabilaty to get out of my vehicle when I arrived He sen me out side his door in my vehicle and came out to see what I needed; I showed him I needed running boards and he was able to help me understand just what I needed! He made arrangements to pick the truck up at the VA and return it after the work was done very nice and proffetional just as when ever I need work or accesseries in the future I know where to go Big D'S. again thank you Don Burback

Took my 1999 Chevy into K's for a B&W hitch installation. When i picked it up the price was alot cheaper than anywhere in town that will install them plus it looked like it came from the factory with it. Very pleased tell all your friends about these guys

brought my truck in for a missfire they said i needed injectors they broke one hold down bolt and charged me for the tool to get it out then they crossdrilled the head and trashed it and told me i needed to spend another 10k to replace the cylinder head i said no way went to Mr Diesel across town and they fixed the cylinder head and all the stuff not done correctly by hallers and i was out the door around 2 grand save yourself the trouble go to Mr Diesel instead

DO NOT USE THIS MECHANIC!!!!!!! We broke down on the side of the highway miles away from help! D & R Car Care (Rick) did not use the correct parts to fix our transmission hose. D & R replace it with a cheap gas hose instead of a tranny hose. This was a week before we left on our family vacation to California. The cheap gas line couldn't hold up in the 118 degree heat and gave way almost blowing my transmission up. I have 4 young children and my husband and myself were stuck right outside of Las Vegas for 4 hrs. A mechanic came by and it took him 7 mins to fix our tranny line and we were back on the road and haven't had a problem since. I will never go back to D & R again!!! I will post this same story all over the net just so people are aware!

Don't go, Highwaymen. If you want your vehicle fixed and don't care what they charge, fine then go. If you don't want to get fleeced, then avoid this shop like the plague. My son recently had the unfortunate experience of breaking down in Cheyenne at 3:00 in the morning while traveling from Idaho to Missouri and being towed to this shop, were they gave him an estimate of $1000.00 to replace a fuel pump in a Tahoe. They charged him $400 for a 213.00 fuel pump and $120 for diagnostic. It does not take $120 to diagnose, "No Fuel pressure and that there is power to the fuel pump, and no you cant hear the pump running". When I had my kid challenge them on this, after I looked up the fuel pump on O'Riely's Auto Parts, they said that did not have one of those, they used Napa, and that it was standard practice for them to Upcharge on parts. Although I suppose, it might be standard practice for some auto shops to upcharge on parts, I have never been charged more for the parts than what it cost the shop to get them from the parts store. I guess it is reasonable for a small percentage of upcharge, especially if the shop is picking up the part. But in my experience, the parts store delivers parts to the shop. However 100% upcharge is not reasonable, nor is moral or ethical, and in fact is highway robbery. Their only saving grace, they did get him in 1st thing that morning and had him on the road late that afternoon, and when challenged on the cost, the did drop the prices from $1000 down to like, $929 or something. Oh, the tow truck driver that picked my kid up, told him because our Road Side service dispatched the pickup, his only choice was to tow to Big Al's. I am betting the tow belong to Big Al's. Short of this is, Big Al's Auto & Exhaust took advantage of a kid that was stranded in the middle of no where and he was stuck where the tow took. They figured they had him by the peanuts and he had no choice except to pay what they said. They are unethical, lacking in moral principle or character. No respectable business would operate in this manner.
