What a breath of fresh air! After getting the run around at another garage and nothing was fixed, I cannot say enough good things about Metropolitan Garage! They were prompt, fixed the problem (on the first trip), and were very professional. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and such a pleasure to work with. I love Star They did an EXCELLENT job on my pathfinder. I have had cars detailed before, I worked construction and after every job for 15 years i took my vehicles in to have them detailed by many detail shops in the lower 48. However not one had ever done such and excellent job as from Star automotive. They are very excellent people take great care and pride in their job. I cant thank Brian and Mike enough. Great Guys Wonderful Job, More than i expected. Thanks guys I can't say enough to express what a great job you do. Very honest and reliable. They even Gave me a ride and picked me up to have my SUV detailed. Forgot my purse with more than 1000.00 dollars in it, they put it away brought it to me when they brought my vehicle back. They didn't inform me that the factory functions of my automatic doors would not work with the one-way auto start. They were rude and extremely unprofessional. They told me my vehicle would be done at the close of business... It stayed over night and they didn't even call when it was finished. I had to call them. There were marks left on my leather seats and on the side door mirror. Do yourself a favor and don't use them for your install. I feel like my whole day is ruined because of the awful service I received from them.

Very incopetent !!!! My Honda's crank pulley fell of so i went to Peger auto repair. They replaced it but either forgat or i dont know why they did not change alternator belt which was ripped and damaged when pulley fell of. After i left their shop i noticed wierd sound under the hood later on i found out that it is a alternator belt that makes a noice. When i called them to ask Why they did not replace the bad belt. Their answer was that they did all that i told them to do. But isn't it obveous that you are guys being auto mechanics should know that you can not use a ripped alternator belt. Or at least you should let me know that it needs to be replaced. Anyway i had to go to another shop to get it fixed. Because of fuckin " pegar auto road" I lost anoder day and anoder $150 for labor.

Had alignment done. next day bought four new tires there and had mounted and balanced. They said nothing about repairs needed. Ten miles later my right front tire caves in. We took it back and they quoted $1700 to fix. the counterperson said they warned us about the ball joints. He didn't. There was nothing on the receipt saying we needed anything done. The manager took the mechanic's word. Now my car is making all sorts of noises in the front end which it never did before, after they fixed the ball joint and replaced the axle. I know both sides need to be done but can't afford $1700. We had all this work done months before and it ran fine before we took it to Sears.

Two days ago my husband brought in a tire to be repaired. The lady up front wasn’t sure if they would get to it even though it was brought in first thing ?? My husband called yesterday when he woke up (2:30pm) and was told that they couldn’t fix the tire. I guess the tech tried to use a safety seal which is only temporary anyway instead of taking the tire off the wheel. He was told the tire was TOO BIG to take off the rim, which is funny. My husband is a MECHANIC that used to work there!!! His tire is a stock standard truck tire, size 265/55R17… should have easily been able to take it off the rim with the equipment you have there. Your tech is LAZY!! And now you won’t get our business anymore. We even reached out to our friend, who also used to work there and he was mad for us!! Anyway. We took it somewhere else around 3pm, and they had it fixed before 5pm. We used to recommend you guys to everyone but not anymore. The shop wasn’t even busy!! If you don’t want to do tire services don’t offer them!! I did privately message before this review and I feel like it was a typical generic response to an upset customer. I truly hope they do have a word with their techs and this won’t happen to anyone else. We aren’t mad it took so long, we are more upset that they gave us a BS excuse and wouldn’t fix the tire, or even offer anything else, like what to do. Anyway, save yourself the headache, because they probably won’t take this review seriously and go somewhere else.

I live locally and decided to give this place a try because I believe in supporting local business. I asked them to simply install an oil pan and block heater, a very common task in Fairbanks, Alaska.. It took them 6 hours to install my oil pan heater (a super simple job) and they called me late in the afternoon to inform me that they weren t able to accomplish the block heater. They charged me 70 dollars for the part of the job that I could have done myself. When I got my car home, I discovered that the cord had not even been properly tied off to prevent it from becoming tangled in the belts and the mechanic didn t even have enough pride in his work to wipe his greasy hand prints off the hood. I brought it back to show this to the owner who agreed that it was shoddy. He offered to fix it and I said NO THANKS. On top of the shoddy work, the mechanic was belligerent when I complained about the bill. I wouldn t trust this shop to change a headlight.

I took my car in about a week ago and was told i needed my car's computer replaced so I agreed to have it ordered and installed. I was told it would be done by Thursday 19 June 2014 at the latest, so I went and got a rental car until that day. I turned the rental car in and my car still is not done and when I went by the shop I was told it would more than likely be finished today 20 June 2014 because the machine to program the computer was not functioning. Today I spoke to Dave around 2:30 and was told they have not even installed the computer, but was fairly confident that it would be finished before the shop closed and he would call me if there were any changes. I did not receive a call and I still do not have my car. That is the only car I have to reach work and I refuse to purchase another rental car just so I can continue to be given the run around on my car. If my car is still not done on Monday, I will get my car back and take my problem elsewhere. This shop will definitely be avoided next time I have an issue with my car.
