I took my daughter's 2005 Chevy Malibu to have some work done on her transmission, and i have not found a shop or customer service better then I did at Advanced Transmissions in a long long while. Advanced Transmissions has been in business many years now and they do good work, the way shops used to do back in the day when people actually cared about helping each other. So i am telling you, if you want an honest company that will do you right and give you a firm handshake go to Advanced Transmissions and talk to the guys at the front there.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! They will rip you off! Took my car after having issues with my ac was told I needed a new compressor it would be $1000.00 for a NEW ac compressor. Day one I"m told the dealer sent the wrong compressor, Day two the right compressor came in but it was "defective" Day three car is finished and fixed. I pay them and receipt clearly states new equipment installed. On the drive home I notice ac is still not working at all. I get home and open the hood and I find my original used compressor. I called the owner Julio and he hung up on me. Called back and threaten to call the police and he explains it's their mistake and they will fix it. He said they could have "accidentally" installed a rebuilt compressor. I told him I knew he was lying because it was not a used, rebuilt or new part in fact I could prove from the serial # it was my original compressor. They will lie, cheat and steal do not go here! Take it to a real mechanic. My AC still does not work until this mess is reversed thru my bank.

2 BAD RECENT EXPERIENCES in a row at this place at the 4115 E Chandler blvd location...You go in for routine oil changes and every single time they discover something else supposedly "wrong" with your car, big SCAM...the time before last a few months ago the mechanic "discovered" a hole in my radiator with missing fluid...this was the EXACT same repair with no variation they did only 10 months earlier there, and I had put less than two thousand miles on the car since the original repair. In discussion, the mechanic there admitted the prior mechanic there probably used bad parts or the mechanic who did the original repair there messed up, but they still charged me full cost again to repair it regardless, over one thousand dollars paid a second time for the same repair done improperly the first time there. Then I bring the car in with an air conditioning problem last week and they bang me for almost $800.00, and the air conditioning still doesn't work...when I complained the manager at the front desk mouthed off at me and I tore him a new one and demanded they repair it correctly and not charge me another dime or I'd take them to court. They begrudgingly complied. Do yourself a favor...AVOID THIS PLACE FOR REPAIRS!!!!!!

BEWARE!! I had my car serviced here. Before leaving, the Pep Boys employee who handled my payment verbally told me that my car was in good shape and had no other recommendations for maintenance, which seemed reasonable, as it was showing no signs of problems. Following the oil change, I drove home (approximately 3 miles), where the car sat for approximately one hour. I then drove from my home approximately 7 miles where the car engine was stopped for 15-20 minutes. Shortly after starting my vehicle and driving less than 2 more miles, the engine temperature gauge spiked to the maximum and the engine began chugging. I immediately turned the car off and pulled to the side of the road, in an effort to avoid any further damage to my car. Then my car was towed to a more trusted shop across town. When examining my car, the mechanics at a more trusted shop found that the radiator coolant cap was left off the fill neck and was lying on top of the engine. Photos of the cap location were taken once the hood of the vehicle was lifted (cap was not moved by the trusted mechanic); including three images showing the coolant fill neck and the cap. The other photo showed the hood liner wet from the coolant that came out. Due to the short amount of mileage that was driven, the car thankfully became operable once radiator coolant was filled and the cap placed back on. Based on the photos and a licensed mechanic's evaluation of my car, it is apparent that the Pep Boy's mechanic removed the radiator cap from my vehicle and failed to secure it back onto the radiator fill neck. However, the store manager, Jae, informed me that since I drove my car a few miles "it must have vibrated off after service." I may be a female, but I know that the caps have locks, AND that I have 136K miles on this car and no cap has ever "vibrated off" while driving. Thanks for the advice. Really. I sent photos, receipts, and letters to Jae. He was unwilling to admit any fault. Go somewhere else for w

Never in the field of automotive customer service has anyone ever been so badly treated so many times by the same bunch of 'cartoon characters' as are employed by this branch ! I will trust my vehicle to the Marx brothers or the Muppets before I give you my business again ! Some would say it is my own fault for going back time and time again, others would say I must suffer from 'Stockholm Syndrome' whatever the reason, of my last four visits to this store, (probably because of its proximity to my home) not once did I ever leave with anything but frustration, contempt and high blood pressure ! Well this time you 'boys' have pushed the limits of incompetence and deception too far. I hereby give notice; 'For the duration of my natural life and any in the Hereafter' none of my Personal or Company vehicles will EVER enter your premises again. May I suggest that you restructure your business plan and pursue a line of work that does not require any kind of customer service commitment or skills, better yet, one that has no interaction or dependency with any living thing ! Needless to say, having your Customer Service Representative "reach out" to "put things right" is futile, if you have found someone within your ranks capable of reading this message to you thus far, you should by now have realized that our relationship is permanently severed, over, finished ,through, WE ARE DONE !! ......Alex G.
