Decibels Car Audio

24 hrs

1752 South State Route 260 Suite B, Cottonwood

Went to Decibels to purchase two speakers and have them installed in a 2004 Jeep Liberty. Took along specific mounting instructions for the stock Infinity amps which I downloaded from the internet. That’s the first time I got the “I’ve been doing this for 25 years” spiel. Should have been a warning to me. Anyway, ordered the speakers and made an appointment for installation. I removed both front door panels prior to taking the car in. He seemed upset that I would do such a thing. After installation, took the car home and removed a speaker to verify proper installation of amps. Naturally they were installed wrong. When the windows were lowered electrically the bottom of the window hit on both L and R amps. Took the car back later that afternoon for reinstallation. That’s the second time I got the “25 years” experience speech. He told me that is why they do not like people to remove the door panels, so they can check the windows. Asked him if this was the first Jeep Liberty he had ever done in 25 years, since the operation of the windows is controlled by switches in the center console, not on the door panel. On second installation (which only took 30 minutes for both doors) amps were out of the way of the bottom edge of the windows good enough, but the 3” long screws he used went right into the middle of the wire harness for the amps. If I had not removed the door panels myself and trusted his “25 years of experience” I would have ended up with broken window glass or a possible short in the wiring harness. After the second installation by Decibels, I decided that their “25 years of experience” does not indicate their level of attention to detail or quality. Installed the amps myself exactly like the instructions I showed him in the first place and everything is fine now. I feel like I got ripped off for the price of the speakers (I’m sure he took a 30%-%40% markup) and the $65.00 installation charge. Oh, he did give me a $10.00 discount for the installation since I had removed the door panels. Would I recommend them to a friend? Hell NO.

NON-CONFORMING POOR REPAIRS WITH LACK OF DIGNITY! This true story is reviewed just to warn other people NOT to get frustrated working with these body shops. Vince?s Auto body and Red Rock Collision, facing each other, belong to the same careless owners. Toyota is very meticulous about the body repair of lease cars. If the body repair is done recklessly, Toyota collects lot of payoff to accept the car back. These body shops have been offered by the insurance. Although the Toyota standards of quality repairs have been strongly emphasized prior, they didn?t even care to do a decent job. More over, the owners permitted and agreed to keep an acquaintance, Jean-Marie Voccola with her homicide friend, for a Trespassing wait in their body shop for more than 2 hours. That day, Jean-Marie Voccola was not their customer or not related with any body shop repairs. There were no other customers so ever, waiting to be helped more than 2 hours in the shop. Moreover, the weather was decent enough that the owners should easily ask to wait them outside for what they had planned to do! Jean-Marie Voccola aggressively insisted to take this event outside the shop when the owners have just been mere spectators. Even, the necessary repair forms were left unfinished behind. The event escalated to a Police scene when Jean-Marie Voccola? homicide friend tried to attack to threaten life just in front of the body shop. Obviously, Police didn?t buy the delusional accusation of Jean-Marie Voccola and her homicide friend. Later, Jean-Marie Voccola continued to pursue a fictional revenge out of nothing, manipulating the other ways same like she did the body shop. As a result of her negligence for an empty revenge caused almost 3 times death and finally left a handicap behind!

Big O Tires

2985 W State Route 89A, Sedona

DO NOT USE SEDONA BIG O. TIRES!!!! Last Saturday morning, after parking at New Frontiers in Sedona, Arizona, I got out of my car and noticed that my back DS tire was low, and my front DS tire was going flat. I called AAA and had my front changed to a spare. The driver told me the only tire shop open at the time was Big O Tires, on 89A. I went straight there. The manager was pretty professional. It took them about two hours to patch both the tires, which seemed a bit much, but I was just happy to be able to drive again. The cost for both patches was approx. $30.00. I left Big O Tires at about noon, and drove to my office (a half mile down the road). I hit nothing. No pot holes. No curbs. No nothing. I parked and went inside and when I came out, at about 4pm, my front tire was totally flat again. I called AAA once more, and had the front tire changed to the spare again. There were no open tire shops, so I drove my car to my home (2 miles away) and parked it there. I did not drive it anywhere else. By midnight, the back tire was completely flat. On Sunday, a friend/mechanic, came over to help me out. He had a look at the back tire and saw that—though it had been marked to be patched—no patch was ever put in the tire. The hole was still empty. He patched it up for me, and the tire worked perfectly. He mentioned this kind of thing happens all the time at Big O in Sedona. He has often had to fix their shoddy repair jobs. On Monday morning, I drove the car back to Big O Tires and politely explained to the owner, a man named Phil, that I had been in on Saturday to have two tires patched, and that neither of the patch jobs “took.” He was immediately quite rude. He did not apologize, and told me I would have to wait an hour to be serviced. I waited an hour and forty five minutes. Phil then told me that my front tire had a tear in the wall, and that I would have to have a whole new tire put on my car. I asked him why his staff didn’t fix

After approximately 10,000 miles the outside edges, of the formally new tires, were bald. Took the vehicle back to them and they adjusted the front toe. I had measured the toe prior to taking it back to them and it had approximately an inch of toe in. That's a LOT. The customer service at Kirby auto is amateur at best. Their service writer attempted to blame the guy who changes the oil because "he should have told you about the tire wear." I thought the guy who aligned the front end should have properly set the toe.

When they took out my engine they hit transmission cooler lines and damaged them. Didn't put wires back correctly. Or hook back up little things. When I got a 2nd opinion from a different shop and brought it to pearsons attention they denied being at fault. But would fix one leak to make me happy but would not fix anything else unless I paid them more money. Well.. took my vehicle home.. wait rewind.. didn't make it home cause the fix they supposedly did busted while I was driving didn't even make it home... I have picture of where it busted where they supposedly fixed it.
