Other things in life, like having a dentist, plumber, doctor ... or mechanic ... are about relationships and value (quality versus cost). Still dealing with this nightmare. Eddie lied about everything with the car. Disaster. New head gaskets, new brakes, new water pump, new catalytic converter, new sensors Check engine light came on, horrible metel squeaking noise from wheels from the botched brake job he did. ALL WITHIN WEEKS OF PURCHASE. RUN AWAY FROM THIS DEALER. We stupidly ignored the warning signs and red flags, he even brought his kid along and said "I'm just trying to feed my kid" when we tried to negotiate on price. We made several trips to him, he acted like each meeting was a huge problem for him. He was reluctant to have us have a mechanic look at the car first. He wouldn't make time for us to have a complete review of the car. He promised things were in order and we begged him to be upfront with us as this was a huge purchase for us. WARNING He said his "people" just did the brakes. When we brought the car into our mechanic they all had to be replaced and there were missing parts! There were parts that were missing from the reassembly. Also he said his "people" painted part of the car and they didn't put the doors back on correctly so they vibrated and rattled non stop. We have been to the mechanic over 6 times - adding THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS REPAIRING the car we bought. It's been a horrible year because of his lies and cheating people. Overcharged us for the registration, misspelled info so all paperwork had to be redone ( our cost and time) nothing went well, he rips people off.

We moved to southern California in 1992 and a couple coworkers recommended Wards to us. We started taking our cars there, and would never go anywhere else now. They are low key and never try to sell us something we don't need, they're friendly, reasonable, and happy to give us a ride to or from the house even though we don't live close to the shop. They have saved us money numerous times by telling us when something is still under warranty and could be fixed for free at the dealership; they could have done the work, charged us, and we'd have never been the wiser. But that's not the way they do business! Our daughter had car trouble on a trip and her car was towed to the nearest garage. She didn't understand what they were telling her needed to be done so she called Jim to ask his advice. He offered to call and speak with them himself and then explain the problem to her in lay terms and help her decide what to do--no charge for his time even though he got nothing out of it. Over the years, we've taken several different brands and styles of cars to them and they've never failed us. We wouldn't trust our cars to anyone else's care! They are the absolute top of their field.
