Metro Transmission, located in San Marcos, CA is a family-owned and operated business. Owned by Mike and Brenda Johnson, along with Brenda’s brother, Rick Grant and his wife, Michelle. Rick proudly took over when his dad, Bob Grant made the decision to retire after 50 years in the automotive industry. Originally from Minnesota, the family came to California in 1983, leaving behind a successful transmission business for beautiful California weather. I called and talked to George. He answered all my questions. gave me a quote and took his time with me. Driving a luxury car I am use to having shops and dealerships charging outrageous amounts for work and products. George changed all that. He was honest and even gave me a better deal than the best possible price I could find. He then ordered my tires for me and had them the same day.
