Auto repair service near Perris, CA

Overpriced with a "can't tell me sh*t" attitude. Maybe their great on old cars but as for my wife's 2010 Challenger they caused more issues then fixed and charged me 1/3 more then anywhere else to do it. Brought my car in for springs, struts, alignment and to go through and make sure everything was right. Did a motor swap and the shop before didn't tighten the lock nuts on my adjustable suspension so wanted it all gone over. Guy was mouthy from the start and bitched about the job the whole time. My front ball joints we're missing a lock plate (found out later), really obvious but they didn't say anything and put it back together anyway. Also missed my rear craddle bushings went bad even after bringing it back to them. This is a huge issue and made the car unsafe to drive, they said it was all good though. I call back and kind of question their knowledge since these basic and obvious issues were missed to which I was hung up on. My advice, find another shop and save yourself the agony.

Very friendly manager. There whole thing is guaranteed lowest price. They really mean it, no fuss. If it's only an hour, just walk over to Starbucks and grab some coffee. Brandon Featherstone

I am writing this review as a warning or caution to those who are considering taking their vehicle to this particular shop. I am a nearly 60 year old professional who has been a loyal customer of Midas for many years. I usually take my vehicle to the shop in Mission Viejo but for the past couple of years or so have been taking it to the Lake Forest location. In the past I have always dealt with the manager, Marcos, who was polite, professional and helpful. I wish he was still there. I recently had an issue with my taillight/blinker not working and I brought my vehicle to the Lake Forest Midas. I was told the electrical plate the bulbs plug into needed to be replaced, which seemed reasonable and the repair was made. Since that plate has been replaced by this shop, I have had to bring my vehicle back several times because the same taillight would stop working. I tried to explain to "Manny" that the problem is most likely a short or loose connection with the electrical plate they replaced. Manny could not have been any less interested in what I had to say, would talk over me and at one point told me they "don't do electrical", although their Whitepages advertisement states they do. The very next day, after one of my several trips back, my battery was completely drained. I tried to explain to Manny there must be a short or loose connection but again he just talked over me and dismissed anything I said. Manny told me I needed a new battery and $200.00 later sent me on my way. The SAME taillight went out again and again Manny was rude and not interested in helping me but said he would have his mechanic take a look. When I picked up my vehicle Manny was not around and the mechanic, who was actually nice and apologetic, told me no one ever told him about the electrical plate they had replaced, so he re-worked all the connections and sent me on my way. Long story short, taillight went out again and when I tap it with my hand, it goes back on, indicating a short or loose wire. I brought my vehicle back today and told Manny what was happening. Again, he could not have been any less professional or helpful and REFUSED to complete the repairs his shop initiated. I asked for the District Managers phone number and Manny told me he is the "Owner" and they would just have me call him anyway. I told Manny I would still like the number and he wrote down a number that actually connects to Equifax. Dishonest ? Disgruntled ? who knows ... hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else ... good luck.

I had a FANTASTIC experience purchasing a car from So Cal Autohaus. I found the car on Craigslist, and made an appointment to come see the car and test-drive. Moe made it extremeley easy and hassle-free. He was very honest and reliable throughout the entire process. I would HIGHLY recommend buying a car from them. I was a little skeptical before buying, so I got the car checked out before buying. Moe followed through with his promise to keep the car on hold for me even though there were other offers. I ended up going to the BMW dealership of Escondido. The service technition was WOWed at the condition of the car, he found it in perfect condition, and was very suprised at how GREAT of a deal I was getting. I can 100% say that Moe and So Cal Autohaus is trustworthy, credible, and dependable. I couldn't be more pleased with my experience! I am a young female with little knowledge in the car industry, and the fact that Moe took care of me and was geniune and honest throughout the process made me very appreciated of their shop and the way they do business!

This business is the type every non-mechanical person wants to have as a go to. They are trustworthy, timely and they do what they say they are going to do. There have been a few times where I have needed them to look into something and they were clear in explaining the problem and fair in their estimation of costs.
