Auto repair service near Walcott, IA

Was told 900 some for the starter and was promised to be done before the end of the day. Then get a call saying it's gonna be another 150 for a bolt they broke from the frame. And then didn't get it back til the next week. Was not happy with the service or the communication. Luckily we were able to get financing but they could have been more careful on the bolt and not charge more for what they already quoted. Now I remember why I don't go to these guys

Owner Bryan Newell is a stand up owner and a stand up man. It is a rare occurrence to have a shop owner willingly acknowledge that an error occurred in their shop and then take responsibility for it. Bryan represents auto repair shops and Walcott, IA in an amazing way. Traveling in late June of 2017, we had to stop for a new alternator in Walcott, IA. After Newell's completed the repair in short order, due to a short time frame, we were on our way. Eight hours later, we had to pull over and get the car back in a shop. Bryan apologized and took responsibility for the situation and the shop fees to correct the situation. We were amazed by Bryan! I was told by others before we had our repair work done at Newells Automotive that Bryan was a "good guy." We agree. Walcott, you have a great small business owner in Bryan Newell! Thank you Bryan!

I would recommend this shop to anyone! The staff was very friendly and courteous My car didn't run this well when I bought it! They replaced my AC Compressor, my serpentine belt, and several other things on my car. I called around for quotes to other shops and was assured the pricing was very fair and reasonable for what I needed. They made what was a terrible experience (my car breaking down) into something bearable. I feel safe commuting in my car for school now! I'm very grateful they took such good care of me and didn't over charge me just because I am a young female. More shops should act with such integrity.

I discovered Wes's Body Shop from a friend of mine and was so happy to have finally found a shop where you get excellent service as well as a friendly smile. worse place ever to buy a vehicle. They lie, cant keep their lies straight. Tell myself and my husband different stories. Tell us both a different amount to fix the problem. Tells me the owner is a Dr. tells my husband, he is a lawyer. Tells us the radiator fans shut off once the motor is cool, NOT, they keep running until it drains the battery dead! We dont even have plates on it yet. We have replaced all the relays and the problem still isnt fixed.I guess their motto needs to he A sucker is born every minute. Im make sure to stamp that on my husbands forehead.I have no choice but to leave 1 star in order to post this review, otherwise it would be in the negative
