I can not say enough about the quality of service at Hometown Automotive, not only are the employees trustworthy and reliable but they are extremely well informed. I recommend this shop to everyone. Great place.

Julie Hobbs and her father are by far the nastiest people I have ever had the misfortune to meet. They sell junk auction cars at ridicules prices and then become accusatory and down right rude when they are expected to do repairs. The first issue was preventing us from getting a sticker,that forced them make repairs. Their mechanic is quite efficient and pleasant, he really needs to leave there before he is tainted by their fraud. If you are willing to pay for major repairs yourself, as many other posters have I am sure you will get a great car. I personally had transmission problems, a broken frame, engine skipping, and power loss with in weeks of purchase. I then got yelled at and abused by them when I wanted repairs. Stay away for Hobbs.

i have been to other shops every year at inspection sticker time with an emissions problem. each shop charged for diagnostics and the check engine light would always come back on within a day or two. needless to say i spent hundreds. farco auto sales diagnosed the problem for free and repaired it for $35.00. i was home in less than an hour. now 2 months later and the check engine light is still off. the staff is pleasant, knowledgable, and friendly. the service is thorough, prompt, and very reasonably priced. i would and have recommended them to my family members.

My brother has been going to Amesbury Auto for years. About 4 years ago he suggested I go to Amesbury Auto for repairs. The 4 years I have been going I have been 100% completely satisfied with the work that has been done. They are very reasonable priced as well. I will continue going to Amesbury Auto for all the work that needs to be done on my cars. Very satisfied.

Make sure to take physical pictures of everything that is broken or needs repair that you’re already aware of, prior to bringing your vehicle into this shop. They will exploit those damaged/failing parts and cause further damage to them. It seems to be part of a ploy to generate revenue for their shop because they will then try to get you to make the repairs there. Don’t expect any accountability either…. They seem to have temporary amnesia when confronted about damage that they were clearly responsible for. Alan Symmes and company - stop believing that each customer that steps foot in your shop, is as naïve as you paint them to be. These are the types of mechanics that will pull the bait and switch on you, if presented with the opportunity…. You know, replacing your new parts in working condition with used/failing parts to swindle honest customers out of their own money.

The owner has been servicing my car for about 15 years. Unless it was an absolute emergency and he was unavailable, I wouldn't let anyone else touch my car. He does a great and conscientious job, on time, for a reasonable price, and more than once has saved me significant money. As an example, I recently took my car to the dealer to have a malfunctioning (and wide-open) window repaired. (This is a case where it was an emergency and he wasn't available!) The repair cost hundreds of dollars. 5 weeks later the repair failed, and the dealer told me their repair didn't fail; it was actually a NEW issue that would cost me another big pile of money to fix. No thanks, I said and headed to S&W. Turns out the problem was a loose connection, an easy fix. S&W saved me $400! Biondi's takes care of me from the gas service station to any auto problems I may have. They provide the old fashion TLC that's a rare thing these days. I recommend them to anyone looking for this kind of service.
