Auto repair service near South Saint Paul, MN

Did the diagnostic on Friday morning at 7:30am 9/22 and never received the estimate to get repairs. It took the entire day to get the car back and still no idea on how much it will cost. Called yesterday and asked for the estimate, said they emailed it. That didn't happen. Would be nice to know what the price would be for repairs!

Brought my truck in for an oil change, tire rotation, and to have a bolt tightened on my battery. During the appointment they told me my front and back alignment was "out of whack". I agreed to the fix. I was charged the full amount for everything, just short of $200, and was told everything was done. Except for only half the alignment was done, they stated they couldn't do the rear adjustment. Still charged me full price. I noticed they hadn't tightened the bolt, and after calling it to their attention they told me I didn't need it. When I got home I noticed they hadn't done the tire rotation either. I texted and was told that despite it being 2 years since I put the tires on without a rotation, it wasn't needed. Yet was charged for it. So end of the day, the only thing that was fully done that I asked and paid for was an oil change. At least I'm trusting that was done. For $200. I was told TGK owes me $10 for not doing the tire rotation. Disappointing response. Normally I love you guys, only bring my truck there because you've always been great. I've twice been asked to fill out a review for this appointment and this is the 2nd time I've expressed my disappointment with my appointment and no one seems to care. I had to make special arrangements for this appointment, that's on me due to my schedule, but it makes it more frustrating that it was so "messy". If a customer asks and pays for a service, they should get that service. If they don't need it or a business can't provide it, they shouldn't be charged for it.

I have a fair amount of experience with cars and car maintenance; rebuilt a few engines and used to do all of my own mechanical work. I currently have a couple of Subaru wagons and have used Elite Motorsports for everything from timing belts, engine rebuilds and advanced troubleshooting. As compared to a dealership, you are working with the mechanic from start to finish. I love that. Another plus is that their prices beat the dealerships by a wide margin. Quality of work is exemplary. They are all about customer service.

I have purchased 3 rebuilt cars from Jas at 1 Stop Auto. The first was a 2004 Civic for my daughter. Never any issues and still in service with her husband driving it now. The car was an excellent buy. So much so that I planned on coming back for a newer model minivan when my Chrysler wore out. My wife's corolla died first and we replaced it with a 2006 Corolla rebuilt by Jas. We have had that for several years now with flawless performance. Jas worked with me for several months to find exactly the car I wanted. He found and rebuilt a 2006 Sienna for me a few years ago and I have been driving problem free since. I would definitely recommend the auto shop inside of BP. This was my first time using their service as I wasn't aware that they were there, my mom recommended me. I got a tire repaired. Their customer service was awesome, their prices were very efficient and they even send a follow up text to ensure quality service and that your experience was good. My last oil change at your dealership did not go well.Your service dept left ALL FOUR LUG NUT LOOSE.Now that may not sound like a big deal to you,you don;t drive my truck,but i do And your service dept left me in a dangerous spot,loose lug nuts pulling my boat down the highway,and your service Manager won't even answer his phone?I do hope the owners of this dealer get to see this comment,I doubt they saw the last one or heard from there service manager about how they can't even get a persons tires tightened.Over the years I have spent in excess of 30.000 dollars at your dealership,I will not spend another dime at your dealership,and the word of mouth that I share with those that ask may not be the type of info you would like having out there about your dealership

this is a 100% true experience!!! i got a flat tire at SA gas station across the street to midas. i drove to midas and met Kevin. Kevin overcharged me for a tire! He was super pushy! He kept putting down every shop slandering them including saying that tires plus, firestone, and fleet farm dont correctly install and seal tires. He just wanted to take as much money as possible from me. he showed me a bill of 195$ for 1 tire and then charged my card for 224$$. i called and complained.. kevins manager said he would give me a refund of almost 15$ and i told him i am still putting my experience on the internet with the store, and he said well then im not giving you your money back? i have a constitutional right to post my experience.. you cant charge me more then agreed upon prior to work.. what a scam. horrible people
