Auto repair service near Hamilton, NJ

My 2006 Subaru Baja had many things wrong with it and was pretty sure I couldn't get it repaired for an amount of money that would justify keeping it. Conrad's was recommended to me by a family member and I decided to give them a try. I have never been more impressed with an automobile service center than I was with them. Richie the owner worked with me on many matters that were wrong. From the exhaust system, to the brakes, alignment, overheating, and overall safety issues. They came and towed my vehicle, and even picked me up when I had no way of getting there to retrieve my truck. The service was beyond awesome. I got my little truck back and it works better than it did before I bought it used. Not only that, but the amount of care and work put into it compared to the cost was amazing. This is the best service I have ever received on a vehicle, and I have owned many over the years. I highly recommend Conrads. It is old fashioned good service with people who are not going to overcharge you.

This shop scams people. DO NOT COME HERE. I have FULL COVERAGE car insurance in which I do not have to pay anything in the event of a car accident. When I first called to release my car, they said that my car wasn’t there for 2 days. Meanwhile, incurring storage charges. This is the oldest trick in the book to get money when they “can’t find” your car. My vehicle was here for 2 full weeks sitting in their lot HOSTAGE. Insisting on ME paying them cash or credit card to be released to my insurance approved body shop. They dodged almost every single one of the insurance company’s calls when they tried to pay the tow and storage fees from them. Multiple times they claimed the owner was not in or the woman who deals with billing was out. Stalling to get more days in storage fees. When my mom went down there to sign the release paperwork, (7 days in at this point) the owner Benny tried to hustle $800 cash or credit card from her so “they could tow it to the new body shop.” Their attitude towards me and my mom were very demeaning. As a young woman, they tried to intimidate and bully money out of me by giving me misleading and incorrect information at EVERY interaction I had with them. They would not have treated me this way if I was a male. I ended up calling the police to assist me with ensuring my car gets out after 2 frustrating weeks. I saw the bill was only $920, including the 2 tows and 14 days in storage fees. Something doesn’t add up here. This is why tow-truck companies and body shops get a bad reputation, because of predators like them. Unprofessional, rude, shady people.
