Auto repair service near Jackson Heights, NY

This place is a nightmare please dont by anything from these guys. We bought a 2006 Honda Odyssey and it was a nightmare. Battery Dead and they cut me a check for my trade in which I tought was nice. Untill the CHECK bounced!!! Then they never got back to us and 5 weeks later still no check. This business is unbelievable, NEVER do business with them.. Please

COWBOY has returned from out of state to "5 Star Auto" on 40 Munson Street in Port Washington (just before the Willowdale Bridge), across from the extra train lot by Davis Ave and the carwash. He's been my favorite car guy for DECADES. I can't believe that he's back!!! He also took great care of my Dad's Lexus' cars and my Mom's numerous Mercedes vehicles. He is THE ABSOLUTE BEST THERE IS. An honest and awesome professional mechanic - and I know plenty (surprisingly). Honest to a fault, unbelievable as it might seem in this town. When I had a very bad flu a few years ago (not COVID) and was living alone, he sent two staff members over to pickup my car in my driveway at Sands Point, do the annual NYS inspection, and drop it back off at my house a day later. He only charged me the price for the NYS inspection. He is a MENSCH! Without question. I was a great personal friend of his partner, who moved away to work only for BMW. Anyway, I'm sure there's tons of suggestions for auto body work in this group, but this is MY GUY. He's back in town and if you need an incredible auto mechanic that's a stand-up guy with very reasonable rates, go to him. You can mention my name, but it isn't necessary. Love COWBOY! ? I absolutely GUARANTEE that you'll be satisfied and not taken advantage of at all. They replaced a side door for me, practically at cost only, many years ago. GOOD PEOPLE. I wanted to write a review , because I had a very hard time finding the owner of this company .Thats why I gave him a 4 rating . I asked around on a guy to do a yanmar survey on a boat I was purchasing , a 40 mainship . Over and over again the same name came up superior , was told if your selling a boat with diesels you don’t want to see this guy show up ..I tired calling him and tracking him down online to fine some of his old numbers don’t work ..I finally emailed him after taking to one of of his old customers He called me in 15 minutes , I talked to him set up a date , and he came to do the survey as planned I did not purchase this boat , because of his findings ..I later purchased another one with Cummins As he gave that boat a clean survey . He’s not a guy that likes to talk , but He knows diesel boats well I would recommend him ..if you can get him it’s worth it ..what I understand there only a hand full of guys that have been around for years , Superior , wesco , Steve’s marine . Now I store my boat at his marina for the winter .Rob has been doing this all of his life , I trust him .
