Auto repair service near Salem, OR

I needed a mirror replacement on my 2015 GTI S. I was told that Prestige would call me with an estimate. Three weeks passed. Finally, Prestige called. We set an appointment. Their work was excellent. Prestige preformed an inspection of my vehicle. This was much appreciated. However, the inspection came in the form of an email. I never saw the email until after I returned home from their shop. The email stated that the inspection found several other issues. The inspection said the "customer declined". When I picked up my car, nothing was said to me about the additional issues. I have a problem with this method. It makes no sense.

Finally a honest and straight forward Auto Service Shop! I would highly recommend Elite Auto Service.

Our car broke down on I-5 by Salem, OR and AAA agent has suggested this shop to take our car to. Great experience overall: staff is friendly and helpful (they offered us a ride to place we could eat at while waiting), quality of repair, timing (we were super lucky they had part for our car in the shop), and in fact we had liked Salem as one of the stops now while traveling up and down I-5 because of that experience. The shop is very clean and well organized, and wait area is set up with families in mind. Totally would recommend it!

Very professional and friendly group of guys. I brought my car in for an A/C evac/recharge but the old compressor was leaking badly, so they couldn't proceed. They didn't charge me for any of the work up to that point and were happy to revisit it after I replaced the compressor (I had a spare). The spare compressor ended up needing the clutch from the failed unit, which again they were happy to tackle. They worked late to finish it up and the final bill was very reasonable for the amount of work and number of back and forth sessions. They're also happy to provide rides to and from the shop.

Nearly all Les Schwab locations are consistent, professional and honest...get the job done kindda crew. Unfortunately the North Lancaster/Market location in Salem are none of these. I was ashamed at the level of dishonestly and clear lack of knowledge that has been employed at this location and truly hope that the branch owner comes to be aware of the liability that his/her branch is adding to the good name to Les Schwab.

I got a quote to repair my tranny. I went back after he took the tranny out and went over the internals. The them tried to jack the price up. He then told me he was having problems getting a planet and rungs for my transmission. I called a relative and he found it in 10 minutes or less. I drove over an hr each way to get it. It took 4 days. When I went to leave from there to go home 600 plus miles,I got in my truck and something was wrong right away. I went back in and asked for the parts he took out and he didn’t have them. He then begged me to let him make it right and put the new solenoids in. He said he was putting oem solenoids then he said reamanned. I actually caught the guy after he took my money. He spent another hour or so doing something??? He said they were replaced but I’m still having the same issues. The past couple weeks I’ve been talking to the new shop supervisor Tom that said 2 weeks ago that he would send the solenoids to my local mechanic. No luck. I called again and gave him my address to send to me so I know I’ll get them and again no such luck. He has offered to take the tranny out and go through it again at no charge. I’m 600 plus miles away and have given them several chances to make up for being thieves. If That were my wife stuck there and they did the work, she wouldn’t of known any better and got stuck halfway home in the middle of nowhere. If you want honest people that do good work DONT go here. Randy is a thief that got caught red handed. I should of called the cops while I was there. Since they won’t get back to me and resolved this via refund of oem solenoids or sending them, I’ve filed complaints in the auto industry and the BBB. Next time I go up I’ll have all my paperwork and am considering filing a police report. Consumer affairs has a ton of negative stuff on this shop. If you go there I warned you. I’m still trying to get this resolved. I’m as of now stepping it up and going a legal rout.

Wow, what an scary experience today. Took our Subaru in for it's scheduled maintenance and oil change at Capitol Subaru. After it's service and carwash, my husband drove away and heard and felt something wasn't right. He stopped less than 30 feet from where it was parked, and found the service technican forgot to secure the lugnuts on the tire, which could have really caused a bad accident. They claim they are moving to a state of the art facility soon. This could have caused a really bad accident for my husband and an innocent bystander. I can't give a good review as this is totally inexcusable and a a pure lack of competency. This wouldn't post until I picked a rating so I picked a 1, however, I would have put a negative 4 if given the option.

I would never go here again! They literally charge twice the amount for the work done as other shops here in town. After charging us a $98 "diagnostic" fee and wanting $455 to replace A Water PUMP! we told them to stop work on the car. We called around and got average quotes for this work at around 200-225. We ended up paying another shop $225 to get this done. We were also concerned these guys were trying to find "extra" work to do on this car to pad there paycheck!
