Awful car repair shop! DON'T GO! Went to get my car inspected and oil changed and ended up costing $127! Charged me for the 19.99 advertised for the and then an additional $15 for 'Parts/supplies' such as dirty rags and towels. My emissions did not pass but the shop continued to do my safety check without asking me(I was at the shop the entire time) and charged me for both. The emissions did not pass because I had a engine safety light on and they charged me $30 to read the codes. They told me that I had to get my oxygen sensor replaced, the part costing a whopping $238(which I did not agree to). When I took my car to another shop to check the issue, the shop(the trusted one I go to back home) told me that it was not my oxygen sensor at all but was the thermostat for the car engine popped out. I told Meineke what happened, and they refused to give me even a partial refund, even though they admitted that their computer was at fault. AWFUL service AWFUL people, a bunch of liars!

Dillsburg Auto Center gave us a great deal on 4 tires and only charged $69.99 for the alignment. Will be back!!!

In Summer 2018 I purchased a 2006 Ford Taurus because the place was highly recommended by a family member. The car was a little more expensive than I was looking for, but I was willing to pay more because they assured me that they had inspected it THAT WEEK. Higher price in exchange for no issues seemed like a fair deal to me. On cars this old, they will not supply any kind of warranty. Again, because I had been promised that it had just been inspected, I accepted this. Less than a month later, my car wouldn't start and was burning through oil and gas. Needs a new Mass Airflow Sensor. It was expensive to replace, and I wasn't happy about it. I called in and they told me that since I bought it without a warranty, it was my problem. I also noticed that the windshield wipers jumped and clearly had not been replaced anytime recently, and as soon as I drove off the lot, one of the back windows stopped opening. A few weeks after that, my exhaust system completely fell off. The catalytic converter needed replaced. I had to get my car towed. I called and complained and they said that they sell these without warranties because they "don't know what the driver will do" and "don't have a crystal ball" (essentially blaming me for a mechanical failure that almost certainly formed prior to my owning the car). Five days after replacing that, the check engine light came on, the car was shaking when idling, and it could barely accelerate. Turns out the last person who owned it replaced the ignition wire improperly and never removed the old one, causing the new one to be misplaced and melt. This certainly should have been seen during an inspection. I don't know anything about cars and once I looked into the engine myself I could tell that there wasn't supposed to be a cut wire just hanging out in there. Went to a new mechanic, got that fixed. Six days after that repair, my check engine light is on again. For anyone keeping track, that is: two major repairs, one minor repair, one worn out part, one mysteriously not working part, and an extra check engine light. I am not convinced they inspected the car at all, let alone as thoroughly as they claimed. And their salespeople (they don't have a customer service department as far as I can tell, because I just keep being transferred to sales) don't care. They got their sale, customer happiness and safety be darned.

I am an outraged customer who took my car to Franklins to get my battery replaced. Not only was the wrong battery installed, but it was also mounted incorrectly despite obvious signs of this problem. The plastic clip on top would not even latch to close. When I got home and lifted the hood, LOOSE PARTS WERE SITTING BESIDE THE BATTERY, and the corrosion on the terminals was not cleaned. To top off this wonderful experience, the replacement inspection stickers that were placed on my car were incorrect, and I really enjoyed cleaning grease from the inside of my car. I was assured that these mistakes were not reflective of Franklin’s reputation. I admit – I may not know much about cars, but I do know that I do NOT trust Franklins with my vehicle and will not be a returning customer.

We purchased the car beginning of April 2012, couldn't drive it for the first almost month due to baby being born. Began having issues within the first 2 weeks of driving it. Been battling repairs since. We are now sitting on a $4800 car loan and a car that won't drive. They won't take responsibility for anything. I would not recommend this dealership or service to anyone.All they want to do is sell the cars, don't care about the aftermath.

December 30, 2020, my wife and I were on our way to North Carolina to visit our daughter. About 180 miles into our trip our alternator burnt out. Because I thought the issue was a faulty battery, I called AAA for a battery service. The tech determined the alternator was the issue. She could not recommend a nearby mechanic and said we'd be hard pressed to get service given the New Years holiday. Not being from the Carlisle, PA area, we decided to conduct a Google search and found T&M Automotive was about a 1/2 mile away. Turns out they are a AAA approved shop. Go figure why the AAA tech didn't know them! We spoke with Henrik who agreed to help us out. They were amazing!!! Henrik was able to get the required part, had his tech install it, test drove it and got us back on the road 3 hours later. The price was very reasonable and the service was excellent. They could have easily charged us more and we would have had to pay it given our situation. If you live in the Carlisle area, I highly recommend you use T&M Automotive for your car care. Ben, Josh and Nate at Meineke at West York go out of their way to help and take care of their customers. I have been bringing my cars there for the last two years. I have three old cars with lots of problems and frequently one of the cars was in the shop for repairs. They did high quality work. They provided free loaner cars while my cars were being repaired. Above all they care about their customers, have served our country, and are very involved in the local community by sponsoring organizations like the Chidrens Miracle Network. Earlier this year I was on my way to attend my daughter's college graduation in Harrisburg. On the way our van with nine people in it broke down on Rt. 83. I called Meineke. They immediately arranged for a tow, came and picked all of us up and soon we were on our way to the graduation in the loaner cars they provided for us. We were able to make it to the graduation on time. This is just one of many instances where they have gone above and beyond to help me. They are honest, reliable, provide excellent service and above all care about you the customer. I have used many different auto repair shops in my lifetime, but none have come close to the service I have received from them. I took in my mustang to have a costom exhaust done i was happy with the idea they had but i was abit upset when i had to wait 2 weeks for parts, the parts were terrible quality for the price ( i paied over $100 for a pipe that was advance auto parts quality crush bent junk pipe) then after its all installed they put it on diffrently then discussed so my dual exhaust works as a single exhaust because of the h pipe being angled to favor one side and it all leaks horribly and the pipe keeps hitting the body and axle i am very dis satafied with the shotty work and cheap parts used when i paied over $700 for a job a student mechanic could of done better

The employees are RUDE at this location.... stear clear, they basically refused to do my state inspection and told me to take my business elsewhere after I inquired about an exemption for our vehicle that we only drive less then 1000 miles in 4 years. We had to change the battery after repairs and inspection sticker had expired, informing us that we had to risk driving it 100 miles without a current sticker. I contacted another and that was totally incorrect and instead of apologizing for their obvious mistake, the manasger got rude and said take it somewhere else he was not going to do the inspection. PA state inpsections exempt vehicles from the emmision if the have been done prior and do not accumulate more then 5,000 miles in a year. Ours is a pleasure vehicle accumulating only 1000 in almost 4 years
